Elmo is one of the characters from the red-furred The Muppets and made famous on the television show, Sesame Street. The following article will show you how to draw it.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Elmo's Face
Step 1. Instead of drawing a diamond shape with a pointed tip, draw a diamond shape with a smoother or duller edge by making curved lines
Step 2. At the top of the image, add two intersecting circles for the eyes and an oval in between for the nose
Step 3. In the center of the image, draw a straight line paired with a curved line underneath to mimic Elmo's wide smile
Step 4. Add two small circles inside the eyeball as pupils
Sketch the angular lines across Elmo's face so that they resemble his feathers.
Step 5. Erase the unnecessary lines from the sketch and color the image
Method 2 of 4: Elmo's Face and Body
Step 1. Instead of drawing a diamond shape with a pointed tip, draw Elmo's face from a diamond shape with a smoother or duller edge by making curved lines
The sketch is also a rectangular shape for the torso.
Step 2. To draw the limbs, add shapes that stick out from the torso
Step 3. Draw a pair of Elmo's hands and feet
Sketch a circle for the palm and five small bumps for the fingers. Draw a wide looking foot and add curved lines to distinguish it as the toes.
Step 4. On Elmo's head, add two intersecting circles for the eyes and an oval in between for the nose
Don't forget to add Elmo's wide mouth and pupils from the two small circles inside the eyeball.
Step 5. Make Elmo's hairy body by sketching the smooth curved lines
Step 6. Erase the unnecessary lines and add color to the image
Red for Elmo's body and orange for his nose.
Method 3 of 4: The Jumping Elmo
Step 1. Sketch a circle, square and other circles that are connected to each other
Also add a cross on the first circle to show the center point of the face.
Step 2. Add guides to create the feet, hands, and soles by drawing lines and circles
Step 3. Sketch the four lines on each circle of the hand as the fingers, and add guides to create the nose and eyes from the circles that are connected to each other
Make sure that the nose image should be slightly larger than the eye image.
Step 4. Sketch the circles to form the fingers and toes
Step 5. Add guide lines to form the mouth, thighs, and arms
Step 6. Draw Elmo's basic skeleton and furry body from zigzag lines
Step 7. Add another detail section and delete the guide lines
Step 8. Give Elmo some color
Method 4 of 4: Waving Elmo

Add guide lines to show which way Elmo is facing.
Step 2. Add guides in the form of lines and circles to draw the feet, hands, and soles
Step 3. Sketch out the guides for drawing the mouth, eyes, and nose
The eyes should be the same size as the nose.
Step 4. Add circles to form the fingers and toes
Only four circles for each hand and foot.
