Xbox Live is an online service aimed at Xbox One and 360 consoles. With this service you can play demos of Xbox games, rent movies, and download updates for all the games you own. There are two versions of Xbox Live: Xbox Live Free and Xbox Live Gold. With Xbox Live Gold, you can do many things, like play multiplayer games, use Skype, access Internet Explorer on your television, etc.

Method 1 of 2: Join Xbox Live Free
Step 1. Visit Microsoft Live at signup.live.com
You'll be asked to sign up for a new Microsoft account before you can sign up for Xbox Live.
If you already have a Microsoft Live account, skip to step 5
Step 2. Enter your personal information into the fields provided
You will be asked to type in your name, password, country, postal code, date of birth, and phone number.
Step 3. Click Create account
Microsoft will send you an email so you can confirm your new Microsoft Live account.
Step 4. Open the verification email from Microsoft and click the Verify button
Your Microsoft Live account will be created.
Step 5. Go to the Xbox Live Free registration page at
Step 6. Click Join Now For Free
Step 7. Enter your Microsoft Live email address into the field provided
The email address you enter can also be used for other Microsoft services, such as Windows 8, Windows Phones, and Games for Windows.
Step 8. Click Next
Step 9. Review Xbox Live's Terms of Use and Privacy Statement, then click I Accept
Your Xbox Live free account is created.
Step 10. Click OK
You can now sign in to Xbox Live from your Xbox console and access Xbox Live Free features, including game play demos, movie rentals, music downloads, and more.
Method 2 of 2: Join Xbox Live Gold
Step 1. Visit Microsoft Live at signup.live.com
You will be asked to sign up for a new Microsoft account before you can sign up for Xbox Live Gold.
If you already have a Microsoft Live account, skip to step 5
Step 2. Enter your personal information into the fields provided
You will be asked to type in your name, password, country, postal code, date of birth, and phone number.
Step 3. Click Create account
Microsoft Live will send you an email so you can confirm your new account.
Step 4. Open the verification email from Microsoft and click the Verify button
Your Microsoft Live account will be created and ready to use.
Step 5. Visit the Xbox Live Gold homepage at
Step 6. Click Join Xbox Live Gold
Step 7. Select your Xbox Live Gold membership option
You can sign up for a 1 month free trial of Xbox Live Gold, pay for a 1 month membership for IDR 130,000, or sign up for a 12 month membership for IDR 800,000.
Step 8. Click Next
Step 9. Confirm your Xbox Live Gold account using one of the methods listed from the drop-down menu
You can choose to receive an SMS security code from Microsoft, a phone call, or by email.
Step 10. Click Next
Step 11. Wait for Microsoft to send you the verification code
You will receive this code in a few minutes.
Step 12. Enter the verification code into the field provided and then click Submit
Step 13. Click Add a credit card
Step 14. Enter your personal information and credit card information into the fields provided
Step 15. Click Next
Once your credit card information is processed, Microsoft will automatically renew your account according to the terms of the agreement until you cancel your Xbox Live Gold membership.
