The French Foreign Legion is a group of military soldiers recruiting from all over the world. The organization has advertisements with the words “opportunity for a new life”. Men accepted into the army can acquire French citizenship and choose a five-year contract or a career as a soldier.

Part 1 of 3: Meeting the Basic Requirements
Step 1. Make sure you are a male between the ages of 17 and 40
Men who are 17 and a half years old can apply with the consent of a guardian or parent. You can show up at the hiring office before your 40th birthday.
Step 2. Make a passport
You must demonstrate that you are a citizen of another country and have the ability to travel internationally.
Step 3. Have a clean record
You are not wanted by Interpol or have an arrest warrant. In some cases, those with criminal records cannot be admitted.
Step 4. Get in shape
You must train to pass strict physical fitness standards.
Step 5. Make sure you have extreme flexibility
The French Foreign Legion requires a service commitment for five consecutive years. Marital status, nationality, religion, education or professional preferences are not taken into account when applying.
Step 6. Learn the basics of French
All oral and written communications will be in French, so you should at least be able to read documents and recognize commands.
Part 2 of 3: Pass the Important Test
Step 1. Purchase a ticket to go to the pre-election center in Paris or Aubagne
You don't need to register in advance, but once you show up at the office in Aubagne, you should be ready to serve for five years. Your room will be paid for when you apply for the Foreign Legion.
- Make sure you bring all travel expenses, documents, underwear, training clothes, toiletries and necessary items with you.
- You are not permitted to store weapons, cameras, electronic devices or large sums of money.
- You need enough money to apply for a visa.
Step 2. Take a physical fitness test
You'll need to do at least four pull-ups, complete a 2,800 meter run in 12 minutes and complete a Luc leger, or sprint a distance of at least 7 x 20 meters.
Step 3. Take psychological and personality tests
This is a series of interviews. You will be asked to tell facts about your past and background.
Step 4. Pass the medical examination
The requirements needed include:.
- There are a maximum of six missing teeth.
- The eye is not more than -10 diopters for nearsightedness and 8 diopters for farsightedness.
- You must show evidence that all previous illnesses have been cured.
- Not suffering from tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV, diabetes, mental disorders or recurrent hernia problems.
- Didn't lose any finger.
Part 3 of 3: Drove in the French Foreign Legion
Step 1. Make sure you pass the pre-selection process in Paris or Aubagne
Step 2. Sign the registration and service contract for five years
Step 3. Make sure you pass the selection process at Aubagne
This is the process by which you will complete physical, psychological and medical tests. You will be notified if you are selected to join the French Foreign Legion.
Step 4. Reconfirm the five-year service contract
Go to join the Legion.
Step 5. Implement a four-week initial training program
You will learn about lifestyle traditions and legions.
Step 6. Make sure you pass the basic training
Then take three weeks of technical and practical training.
Step 7. Head to the French Pyrenees to complete a week of mountain training
Step 8. Return to more technical and practical training
You have to pass the exam.
Step 9. Enter the operational vehicle school
Then, return to Aubagne to be assigned to their respective regiments. Fulfill your five-year contract.
