This wikiHow teaches you how to view archived emails in Gmail. Gmail allows you to archive old emails so they don't pile up and fill your inbox. These emails will be hidden from your inbox view, but not deleted in case you need to see them again.

Method 1 of 2: Via Mobile App
Step 1. Open Gmail
This app is marked by a red “M” icon that resembles an envelope on a white background.
If you're not logged into Gmail, enter your Gmail email address and password, then tap “ Sign in ”.
Step 2. Touch the button
It's in the upper-left corner of the screen. After that, a pop-out menu will be displayed.
Step 3. Select All Mail
It's at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4. Find the archived email
Folders All Mail ” contains all the emails in your inbox, as well as any archived emails.
- Any email that doesn't have an “Inbox” marker in the top right corner of its subject line is an archived email.
- You can also tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and type the name of the recipient/sender of the email, a subject, or a specific keyword to narrow the search.
Method 2 of 2: Via Desktop Site
Step 1. Visit the Gmail website
You can visit it at https://www.mail.google.com/. If you're already signed in to your Gmail account, you'll be taken straight to your inbox.
If you are not logged in to your Gmail account, click the “ SIGN IN ” in the upper-right corner of the page and enter your email address and password.
Step 2. Click the inbox selection list
This list of choices is a column of choices starting with Inbox ” and is on the left side of the page. After that, the column will be extended to show additional options.
Step 3. Click the More button
It's at the bottom of the list of options.
Step 4. Click All Mail
This option is at the bottom of the menu, near the “ More After that, you will be taken to the “ All Mail ”.
Step 5. Look for the archived email
Folders All Mail ” contains all emails in your inbox, as well as emails that have been archived.
- Any email that doesn't have an “Inbox” marker to the left of its subject line is an archived email.
- If you know a specific recipient/sender, subject, or keyword from the content of the email, you can type that information into the search bar at the top of the Gmail page.
