Although the archived uploads on Instagram on a Windows or Mac computer are not easily viewable, you can run BlueStacks and view the Instagram mobile app on a computer. This wikiHow teaches you how to view archived uploads on Instagram on a PC or Mac using BlueStacks.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Installing BlueStacks
Step 1. Visit https://www.bluestacks.com/ via a web browser
Some fairly popular browsers include Firefox and Chrome.
The program you download is an Android emulator so you can use Android apps on your computer, just like you would an Android device
Step 2. Click the green Download BlueStacks button
Your browser will automatically detect your computer's operating system (eg Mac or Windows) and download the appropriate files. A pop-up box will appear so you can choose where to save the download.
Step 3. Click Save
The installation files will be saved to the location you selected in the previous step (most likely the “Downloads” folder).
Step 4. Click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install BlueStacks
Click Yes ” to allow changes when prompted. Read and accept all terms before agreeing and proceeding with the installation process.
Step 5. Click Install Now
You can see a progress bar as the files the program requires are downloaded.

Part 2 of 3: Downloading Instagram
Step 1. Open BlueStacks
You can find the icon in the “Start” menu or in the “Applications” folder.
- The first time you run BlueStacks, the program takes a long time to open.
- The app will ask you to sign in to your Google account or create a new account.
- You can see a list of installed and usable apps via BlueStacks.
Step 2. Click the search bar
It's in the upper-right corner of the window. A list of the most searched games will be shown in the drop-down menu.
Step 3. Type “Instagram” and press Enter. key or Returns.
A new tab labeled “App Center” will appear in the search results of the application window.
Step 4. Click on “Instagram” (developed by Instagram)
A Google Play Store window will open and display the Instagram app details page.
If you are not signed in to your Google account or created an account, you will be prompted again to sign in or create a new account. You need a Google account in order to download Android apps
Step 5. Click the green Install button
Part 3 of 3: Using Instagram to View Archived Uploads
Step 1. Click the green Open button
The Instagram app will run on BlueStacks. The application window may shrink to indicate the size of the phone.
Step 2. Click Log in or Create New Accounts.
You can log in using your Facebook account or the email address and password registered with your Instagram account.
Step 3. Click the profile photo or silhouette icon
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen. Your profile page will be opened after that.
Step 4. Click
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Click Archive
This option is usually the first option on the menu next to the rewind icon. A list of all archived Stories will be displayed.
Step 6. Click the Stories Archive drop-down menu
A drop down menu will be opened after that.
Step 7. Click Posts Archive
A list of all archived uploads will be displayed.
Step 8. Click the upload to view it
- The upload and all the original comments will be loaded.
- To unarchive an upload, click the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the upload and select “ Show on Profile " The upload will reappear on the profile's timeline, in its original position.
