This wikiHow teaches you how to make a fleece change color in the order of the colors of the rainbow in Minecraft. This change can be made by changing the sheep's name to "jeb_" (with an underscore at the end) using the name and anvil markers.
Step
Step 1. Find a sheep
If you don't already have sheep, you can look for them (in any coat color) in forest and plain biomes.
If you're having trouble finding sheep, you can summon them using this cheat code on the console: /summon sheep [spawnPos]
Step 2. Move the sheep to your farm
Herd sheep to fenced areas on your farm using grain. After that, the sheep will happily follow you through the farm gates. If you want, you can also move the sheep by boat.
Step 3. Look for the name tag
This step is the hard part. However, there are three ways to find the name tag:
-
Fishing:
Every time you catch a fish, you have a 0.8% chance of catching the name tag. With the "Luck of the Sea" magic on the fishing rod, the probability rate rose to 1.9%.
-
Looting treasure chests:
Name tags can be found in treasure chests in dungeons, empty mine tunnels, and castles in the forest.
-
Doing buying and selling with librarians:
Complete low level trades with a librarian until you make it to the sixth level or tier (6th tier). At this stage, you can buy name tags for 20-22 emeralds.
Step 4. Stand in front of the anvil
The “Repair & Name” menu will appear after that.
If you don't have an anvil, read the article on how to create an anvil in Minecraft
Step 5. Move the name tag to the first box
This box is to the left of the plus sign (“+”).
Step 6. Type jeb_ into the "Name Tag" field
It's a brown column at the top of the menu. The name tag " jeb_ " will be displayed in the third box (after the arrow).
Step 7. Move the name tag to the inventory hotbar
Name change requires experience level (experience) as much as 1 level.
Step 8. Right-click the sheep while the name tag is held
After a sheep is named jeb_, its coat color will change according to the Minecraft color spectrum.
Tips
- Build a throne or some kind of pedestal to show off the splendor of your rainbow sheep.
- Don't trim the rainbow fleece. You won't get rainbow wool. If you prune it, let it eat grass to restore its shiny rainbow coat.
- There are many other Easter eggs (or surprises) in Minecraft. If you name a rabbit “Toast”, it will have cool fur. If you name a group of people as “Dinnerbone”, those people will be reversed (heads down).
