This wikiHow teaches you how to change location information for searches performed by Google Chrome. Keep in mind that changing your location settings will not unlock content locked in your region; if you want to open content or hide location in Google Chrome, use a proxy or VPN.
Step
Step 1. Open
Google Chrome.
Click or double-click the Chrome app, which is a red, yellow, green and blue ball.
Unfortunately, you can't change Chrome's location settings on iPhone or Android
Step 2. Find something
Click the address bar at the top of the window, then type whatever you want to search for and press Enter.
Step 3. Click Settings
It is located below and to the right of the search bar at the top of the search results page. A drop down menu will appear.
Step 4. Click Search settings
This option is in the drop-down menu. If you have, the Google Account search settings page will open.
Step 5. Scroll down to the “Region Settings” section
It's near the bottom of the page.
Step 6. Select a region
Click the empty circle to the left of the region where you want the search results to come from.
If you don't see the region you want, click Show more below the list of regions to show them all.
Step 7. Scroll down and click Save
It's a blue button near the bottom of the page.
Step 8. Click OK when prompted
Once done, the settings will be saved and the search will repeat; if there is a search result that is more accurate than the selected region, Chrome will display it.
