Method 1 of 3: Disabling Speakerphone on iPhone
Step 1. Turn off the speakerphone in the middle of a call

Tap the selected red speaker button on the iPhone screen. This button is labeled "Speaker". After you turn off the speakerphone, you will lower the volume of the iPhone speaker, and iPhone will return to normal phone mode.
