This article teaches you how to enter apps loaded on one iPhone into another iPhone registered with the same Apple ID and password.

Method 1 of 3: Using the App Store
Step 1. Open the App Store app
This app has a blue icon containing the letter “A” inside a white circle.
The iPhone phone that receives the app must be registered with the same Apple ID as the iPhone that will transfer the app. To sign in to the App Store, go to Settings, scroll down and tap iTunes & App Store, tap Sign In or on Apple ID, then enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Sign In.
Step 2. Tap
It's in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Tap
It's located at the top of the screen.
- If prompted, enter your Apple ID and password.
- You may need to tap My Purchases at the top of the screen if you have a Family Sharing membership.
Step 4. Tap on Not on This iPhone
It's located at the top right. A list of all the apps you've purchased with your Apple ID, but haven't installed on your iPhone, will appear on the screen.
Applications are listed in the order in which they were purchased. Recent apps are at the top
Step 5. Tap
Tap the download button next to all the apps you want to install on your iPhone.
- The download will start.
- You can download several applications at the same time.
Method 2 of 3: Using iCloud Backup
Step 1. Backup your old iPhone to iCloud
Both phones must be running on the same version of the iOS operating system for the backup to be compatible.
We recommend that you update the operating systems of both phones before starting the backup
Step 2. Open Settings on the new iPhone
This app has a gray icon containing a gear (⚙️) and its location is usually on the home screen.
Step 3. Scroll down and tap on
Options is the fourth section of the setting near the top.
Step 4. Scroll down and tap Reset
It's at the bottom of the menu.
Step 5. Tap Erase All Content and Settings
It's near the top of the menu.
Step 6. Enter the passcode (passcode)
Enter the passcode to unlock your phone.
If prompted, enter your " Restrictions " passcode
Step 7. Tap Erase iPhone
This will reset all settings and delete all media and data on the iPhone.
Step 8. Wait until the iPhone finishes resetting
You may need to wait a few minutes.
Step 9. Follow the instructions on the phone screen
The setup assistant will help you through the process to completion.
Step 10. Choose a language
To do this, tap the language you want to use on the device.
Step 11. Choose a country or region
To do this, type in the country or region where you are using the device.
Step 12. Tap on the Wi-Fi network
A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear near the top of the screen.
If prompted, enter the network password
Step 13. Tap Next
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 14. Select the Location Services setting
Your device uses Location Services for the Maps application, Find My iPhone, and other applications that use your location.
- Tap Enable Location Services to allow apps on the device to use your location.
- Tap Disable Location Services to prohibit apps from using your location.
Step 15. Create a passcode
Type the passcode into the box provided.
If you want to create a different password from the initial 4-6 digit code (default), tap Password Options at the bottom of the screen.
Step 16. Re-enter your passcode
This will confirm the passcode.
Step 17. Tap Restore from iCloud Backup
The list is near the top of the setup options.
Step 18. Enter your Apple ID and password
Use the same Apple ID and password for both phones.
Step 19. Tap Next
It's in the upper right corner of the screen. This will open Apple's "Terms and Conditions" window.

Step 20. Tap Agree
It's located in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 21. Tap on backup
Choose the one with the current date and time.
Your iPhone will start downloading the backup from iCloud. Once done, the apps, settings, and data from the old iPhone will be paired to the new iPhone
Method 3 of 3: Using iTunes Backup
Step 1. Open iTunes on the desktop
This application has a white icon with musical notes of various colors
Step 2. Connect the old iPhone with your desktop
Use the iPhone's built-in connection cable, and connect the USB end to the computer and connect the other end to the iPhone's charging port.
Step 3. Click the iPhone icon
It's a gray bar at the top left of the iTunes window.
Enter the old iPhone passcode to unlock the phone, if prompted
Step 4. Click Summary
It's in the left pane of the iTunes window.
Step 5. Click Back Up Now
It's in the right pane of the window.
- If prompted, click Transfer Purchases to transfer purchases (apps, music, etc.) from your phone to iTunes.
- When the backup is complete, disconnect the old iPhone phone by clicking the " Eject " icon in the upper left corner of the window next to your iPhone image.
Step 6. Connect the new iPhone to the desktop
Use the iPhone's built-in connection cable, and connect the USB end to the computer and the other end to the iPhone's charging port.
Step 7. Click the iPhone icon
It's a gray bar in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window.
If prompted, enter your old iPhone passcode to unlock your phone.
Step 8. Click Summary
It's in the left pane of the iTunes window.
Step 9. Click Restore iPhone
It's located at the top of the right pane of the window.
If prompted, turn it off Find My iPhone on the new iPhone. To do this, open Settings, then tap Apple ID, and tap iCloud, then Find My iPhone and slide "Find My iPhone" to "Off" marked with white text.
Step 10. Click Restore
Step 11. Click backup
Choose a backup that has the most current date and time.
Step 12. Click Restore
When the process is complete, the apps and settings from the old iPhone will be available on the new iPhone.
