This wikiHow teaches you how to transfer Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox bookmarks from one computer to another.

Method 1 of 2: Using Google Chrome
Step 1. Connect the USB flash disk (USB drive) with the computer
You can quickly and easily transfer bookmarks to another computer via a USB flash drive.
If you don't have a USB flash drive, you can attach a bookmark file to an email (electronic mail, also known as email)
Step 2. Open Chrome on the computer
You can find Chrome in the All Apps in the Start menu in Windows. When you're using macOS, you can find it in the folder Applications.
Step 3. Click the button
It's in the upper-right side of the Chrome window. Clicking on it will display a menu on the screen.
Step 4. Select Bookmarks
After that, an additional menu will appear on the screen.
Step 5. Click Bookmark manager
It's at the top of the menu. Clicking on it will bring up the Bookmarks page.
Step 6. Click the button
It's at the top right of the Bookmarks page.
Step 7. Click Export bookmarks
Clicking on it will open a file browser window.
Step 8. Open the folder where you want to save the bookmarks
If you want to save the bookmarks on a USB flash drive, open the USB flash drive in a file browser window.
If you want to transfer bookmarks via email, open the folder Downloads or some other easy-to-remember folder.
Step 9. Click the Save button
After that, the bookmark will be saved in the specified place in the form of an HTML file. When the files have been saved, safely remove the USB flash drive from the computer.
If you want to transfer your bookmarks via email, go to an email website or email program, create a new email addressed to your email address, attach the bookmarks file, and send the email
Step 10. Connect the USB flash drive with the destination computer
If you sent bookmarks to your own email address, log in to the email account on the destination computer. After that, open the email and download the HTML file attached to the email
Step 11. Open Google Chrome on the destination computer
If you want to transfer bookmarks to Firefox or Safari, open that browser.
Step 12. Open "Bookmark manager" on the computer
On Chrome, click the button ⁝ in the top right of the window. After that, click Bookmarks and click Bookmark manager.

Firefox:
Click Ctrl+⇧ Shift+B to open the Library (Bookmark Manager).

Safaris:
Click menu File, click Import From…, and select Bookmark HTML File.
Step 13. Click the button
If you're using Chrome, it's at the top right of the page. If you are using another browser, you can skip this step.
Step 14. Click Import bookmarks (Import Bookmarks)
If you're using Chrome, clicking on that option will open a file browser window.

Firefox:
Click Import and Backup (Import & Backup), and select Import Markup from HTML… (Import Bookmarks from HTML).

Skip this step to the next step.
Step 15. Locate the bookmarks file
If you saved the file on a USB flash drive, open the USB flash drive in the file browser. If you downloaded it from an email, go to the folder where the file is saved.
Step 16. Select the bookmark file and click Open
If you are using Safari, click Import. This will transfer the bookmarks to the destination browser.
Method 2 of 2: Using Mozilla Firefox
Step 1. Connect the USB flash drive with the computer
You can quickly and easily transfer bookmarks to another computer via a USB flash drive.
If you don't have a USB flash drive, you can attach a bookmark file to your email
Step 2. Open Firefox on the computer
You can find Firefox in the section All Apps in the Start menu in Windows. If you're using macOS, you can find it in the folder Applications.
Step 3. Press Ctrl+⇧ Shift+B
This will open the Library.
Step 4. Click Import and Backup
Step 5. Click Export Bookmarks to HTML… (Export Bookmarks to HTML …). After that, a file browser window will appear on the screen.
Step 6. Open the folder where you want to save the bookmark
Look for the USB flash drive in the file browser if using it to transfer bookmarks.
If you want to transfer bookmarks via email, open the folder Downloads or some other easy-to-remember folder.
Step 7. Click the Save button
After that, the bookmark will be saved in the specified place in the form of an HTML file. Once the files have been saved, safely remove the USB flash drive from the computer.
