You need to choose a username when you want to create an account. However, many people want their username to look satisfactory. The problem is, they can't think of a unique username. Have you experienced it too? If so, keep reading this article!
Step
Step 1. Think of the “type” of username you want
For example, consider whether you want a username with one or two words, a username with numbers, and so on.
- One-word usernames can be difficult to find if you want to create a username that "makes sense" and is easy for others to pronounce. However, this option is appropriate if you want a simple username.
- Using additional words increases your chances of getting available names, but usernames become more complex and long (if you want a short name).
- Adding numbers is great for creating unique names, but if you want to have a name that's "natural" like other usernames, use numbers wisely. You may also not need to insert numbers at all.
Step 2. Consider the things you like
From bunnies to popsicles, the things you love make your username look even more creative.
If you want to give it a try, consider the word order in the name. For example, you have the words “Duo” and “Tiger”. Do you want to arrange them as “DuoTiger” or “TigerDuo”?
Step 3. Add a common prefix or suffix
Both can increase the number of words in the username from one word (if the selected name is already taken).
- Frequently used prefixes include “i” (e.g. “iMmanuel”), “ii” (e.g. “iiMantul”), or “x” (e.g. “xTraPower”).
- Frequently used suffixes include “ism” or “ism” (e.g. “Vianism”), “ize” or “ization” (e.g. “Valenization”), or “XD” (e.g. “ViaValenXD”).
Step 4. Add certain letters and numbers to replace some characters in the username
Using letters and numbers like this can add style to a username and, when used properly, won't make a significant difference (which can be negative or confusing).
- The letter "x" is often used to replace certain letters (usually vowels) so that users can read names easily. For example, if the username “CrayonShinchan” is already taken, you can replace the letter “i” or “Shi” with the letter “x” so that it becomes “CrayonXnchan”.
- The letter "v" is generally used to replace the letter "u" (eg "Pumpkins" becomes "Pvmpkins"). This letter is rarely used to replace other letters.
- Numbers can also replace letters. Because the number "3" looks like the letter "E" upside down, usually the number "3" is used instead of the letter "E" or "e".
Step 5. Try searching for a username with five letters
If you want to get a rare username, a five-letter username is quite useful, especially since Roblox currently requires users to create a username with a minimum of three characters. The addition of two letters does reduce the "rarity" of usernames, but usernames of five letters alone are considered very rare or rare.
Step 6. Use capital and lowercase letters wisely
If your username consists of two or more words, a username consisting of only capital letters is preferable.
- For example, if you want to create a username "MostlyAnna", use a capital letter as the first letter of each word to make the name appear neater than when you use only lowercase letters (eg "mostlyanna").
- If your name is one word, capitalizing the first letter won't make much of a difference because people won't have a hard time reading your name.
Step 7. Create a unique username
Don't copy other people's usernames. For example, if someone has the username "Simplex," don't just add or subtract a letter and say the username is your own creation, especially if you're cheating on someone famous.
Tips
- Create a username as desired. Don't make or choose a particular name just because someone challenged you to do it (or for some other reason).
- Keep in mind that old forum posts may still display the old username. However, the new username will appear on new uploads.
- If you want to use the old username, there is an option to return the name, but fees still apply for name changes.
- Try inserting an underscore. For example, if you want to use the username “ViaValen”, but that name has already been taken by someone else, try “Via_Valen” or “ViaVale_n”.
Warning
- Never include personal information in usernames because even bad guys use Roblox a lot. “Crazy” adults and love seekers can (and likely will) seek personal information. In addition, because passwords usually contain personal information, they can also use the information in your username to hack into accounts.
- Choose your username wisely because violating the Roblox terms and conditions risks having your account deleted or blocked.
- Be careful when typing in the username as a typo runs the risk of triggering other problems, especially if you have to change it (username change costs 1,000 Robux).
