Sometimes the people on the Kik messaging app are out of control. When this happens, you can block him so you don't have to get messages from him again. A blocked user will not be notified when he or she has been blocked. You can also unblock them if you accidentally block them or feel that you no longer need to block them.

Step 1. Tap the gear button
It can be found on the top right side of the Kik message list.
Step 2. Tap on “Chat Settings“
If you are using a Windows phone or Blackberry, tap on “Privacy”.
Step 3. Tap on “Block List“
This will show you a list of the users you just blocked.
Step 4. Tap "+" to add the user to the list of people you will block
You will be directed to your contact list. You can choose anyone from the contact list to block. You can also type your name or Kik username to block people who are not in your contact list.
Step 5. Confirm blocking of selected users
You will be asked to confirm whether you want to block the user you have selected.
- Blocked users will not be notified. The messages he sends will be seen as sent, not read. You will not get any messages it sends.
- Blocking someone does not delete past chats from the tool. Blocked users will still be able to see your profile photo and any changes you make.
- Blocked users will still be able to see your messages if you are in the same chat group.
Step 6. Unblock
If you don't want to block it anymore, you can quickly remove it from your block list.
- Open the "Block List" in the "Chat Settings" menu.
- Tap on the users you want to unblock.
- Tap "Unblock" to remove the block. The user will not be notified if you have unblocked.
