Step 1. Find a mailing list service that meets your needs
The easiest and most trusted way to send mass emails is to use a service that focuses specifically on email marketing. These services are usually offered at an affordable cost, and some even offer innovative tools to build more effective communications. Here are some options you can try:
- MailChimp offers a variety of plans, including a free option that supports messaging for up to 2,000 users/recipients. If you need to email more people, choose one of the paid services offered.
- Constant Contact doesn't limit the mail list size and the number of messages you can send, but the service doesn't have a free plan.
- TinyLetter is a free service that allows you to send a simple e-newsletter to 5,000 subscribers at no cost. TinyLetter doesn't have any special statistics features, but it can be a good choice if you just want to contact a lot of people at once.
- There are many mailing list services available that you can find through a quick Google search. Research the available options carefully before you choose which service to use.
Step 2. Enroll in the mail list service
After finding the right service, click on the signup link to create an account. If you choose a paid service, follow the on-screen instructions to enter your payment method and activate your membership.
Step 3. Create a list
The steps to follow are different for each service, but usually you will need to create a “campaign” and import a list of current customers into your account.

Some services allow you to associate your Gmail account with a service account so that you can move contacts to the service. Method 2 of 2: Using a Standard Email Manager
Step 1. Get a list of email addresses
If you only need to send email to multiple addresses once, simply add recipient addresses to the "BCC" field of the message header. This method is effective for lists that have less than 500 recipients. You can use email lists as spreadsheets, documents, or text files.
- Most email service providers limit the number of recipients you can send messages to. In addition, some service providers also limit the number of messages you can send in one day. For example, Gmail doesn't allow you to send messages to more than 500 people at once. In Gmail, you also can't send more than 500 messages in a day. Check with your email service provider about any restrictions like this before you send out bulk emails.

Step 2. Create a new message
You can create messages in an email management program installed on your computer or a web-based email service (eg Gmail or Outlook.com). To create a new message, you usually need to click the button labeled “ Compose " or " New Message ”.
Step 3. Enter your own email address into the " To " field
Only add email addresses that are visible to the recipient of the message.
Step 4. Click the BCC column
If you don't see this column, click the link “ BCC ” next to the “To” column.
Make sure you click on the column “ BCC, and not column " CC ”.
Step 5. Enter customer addresses into the “BCC” field
Separate each address with a comma if you entered it manually. If you have a list of addresses, copy the addresses from the document and paste the entire list into this field.
Step 6. Type in the subject and body of the message
You may be able to use HTML and other formatting tools to modify the message, depending on the email management program you use.
Step 7. Click the Send button
The location of the button is different for each program, but you can usually see an envelope or paper airplane icon above it. Once the button is clicked, the message will be sent to the recipients.
Tips
- Using a marketing email service can prevent mass messages sent from being marked as spam.
- Do not attach files to bulk messages if possible.
- Make sure you have personal knowledge of each member on the list so you don't get accused of spamming.
