This wikiHow teaches you how to block someone on your Facebook friends list via the Facebook mobile app or website.

Method 1 of 2: Via Mobile App
Step 1. Open the Facebook app
This application is marked by a blue icon with the letter “ f White.
Sign in to your account first if you haven't already
Step 2. Touch the " Search " field at the top of the screen
Step 3. Type the name of the friend in the field you want to block
When typing an entry, a list of Facebook profiles will be displayed below the search field.
Step 4. Touch the name of the friend you want to block
After that, the profile page will be opened.
Step 5. Touch or More ("Other").
It's on the right side of the screen, below the user's profile photo.
Step 6. Touch Block (“Block”)
Step 7. Touch Block (“Block”) to confirm
Users you block will automatically be removed from your friends list and will not be able to contact you via Facebook or Messenger.
Method 2 of 2: Via Desktop Site
Step 1. Visit https://www.facebook.com via a web browser
Sign in to your account first if you can't access your profile automatically
Step 2. Click the " Search " column at the top of the window
Step 3. Type in the name of the friend you want to block and press Enter key
A list of Facebook user profiles will be displayed in a browser window.
Step 4. Click the profile photo of the friend you want to block
Step 5. Click
It's on the right side of your profile photo, next to the “ Message " ("Message").
Step 6. Click Block (“Block”)
Step 7. Click Confirm (“Confirm”)
Users you block will automatically be removed from your friends list and will not be able to contact you via Facebook or Messenger.
