This wikiHow teaches you how to join a Facebook group, either through the Facebook mobile app or the website. On Facebook, groups are pages for users who share common interests, such as buying and selling forums or a particular genre of music. Keep in mind that to join a secret group, you must get an invitation from a group member.

Method 1 of 2: Via Mobile App
Step 1. Open Facebook
The Facebook mobile app icon looks like a white “f” on a dark blue background. Facebook will display a news feed page if you are logged in to your account.
If not, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then tap “ Log in " ("Enter").
Step 2. Touch the search bar
This bar is at the top of the screen. The device keyboard will be displayed after that.
Step 3. Enter the group name or search keyword
Type in the name of the group (or word/phrase of interest), then tap “ Search " ("Search"). Facebook will search for accounts, pages, places, and groups that match your search keywords.
Step 4. Touch Groups (“Groups”)
This” tab is at the top of the screen, just below the search bar. The groups related to the search keyword will be displayed afterwards.
You may need to swipe the tab bar to the left to see the “ Groups ” (“Group”).
Step 5. Touch Join next to the desired group
Knob " Join ” (“Join”) is to the right of the group name. Once touched, the status " Requested " ("Request Sent") will be displayed on the right side of the group. If the administrator accepts the join request, you can upload posts on the group's page.
If the group is a public group, and not a closed group (“Closed”), you can see (but not interact) with the group's posts and members
Method 2 of 2: Via Desktop Website
Step 1. Open Facebook
Visit The news feed page will be displayed if you are already logged in to your account.
If not, enter your email address (or phone number) and account password in the top-right corner of the page
Step 2. Click the search bar
This bar is at the top of the Facebook page.
Step 3. Enter the group name or search keyword
Type in the name of the group you want to join (or related words and phrases), then click the magnifying glass icon on the right side of the search bar.
Step 4. Click Groups (“Groups”)
It's in the upper-right corner of the search results page. A list of groups associated with your search entry will be displayed.
Step 5. Click Join next to the group
You can see the button Join ” (“Join”) to the right of the group name. Once clicked, a join request will be sent to the group moderator. If the request is accepted, you can upload the post to the group's page.
