You really love your Coach bag. You feel you deserve to spend a lot of money on it because you can use it night or day and you always get compliments wherever you go. There's just one problem. Method 1 of 6: Cleaning Cloth Bags with Cleaner
Step 1. Purchase the Signature C Fabric Cleaner from Coach
With this cleaner, you can make your bag look like new again. You can buy them online or at your nearest Coach store. You can use this cleaner for the following types of bags:
- Classic Signature
- Mini Signature
- Optic Signature
- Graphic Signature
- Signature Stripe
- If you want to make a claim at a Coach store, your claim may be denied if you don't try to clean your bag with a Coach cleaner first.
Step 2. Apply cleanser
Apply a small amount of the cleaner to the stained area in a circular motion.
Wipe the cleaner with a new cloth and don't use the bag until it's completely dry
Method 2 of 6: Cleaning a Cloth Bag Without a Cleaner Coach
Step 1. Wet the foam with a little water
Here's how to clean your bag without having to go to the Coach store:
- Look for the dirty area.
- Press the dirty area with foam, do not rub. This will keep the texture of the bag from changing.

Wipe off excess cleaner with a clean, slightly dampened cloth.
- Dry the cleaned area by pressing the area with another clean white cloth and then let the bag cloth dry.
- If you're trying to clean an oily stain that can't be removed with soap and water, apply a drop or two of dish soap.
Step 2. Give your bag time to dry on its own
Once you've tried your best to clean the stain, it's time to give your bag some time to rest.
- Give it at least an hour, depending on how wet your bag is.
- Don't use the bag while it's still wet, as this can make the stain even worse.
Step 3. Get ready to clean your bag again in the future
Now your bag is clean and it is important to keep this clean. Here's what you should do:
- Always carry baby wipes or a small washcloth in your bag.
- When you see a new stain on your bag, immediately wipe the stain with a wet tissue or wet the cloth you brought with you and wipe the stain.

Step 1. Purchase a set of "Coach Cleaner and Moisturizer
You can buy it at your nearest Coach store or from the Coach website. This set can be used for the following collections::

Step 2. Apply a small amount of cleanser using a soft clean cloth
Rub the cleanser onto the skin in gentle circular motions.
Step 3. Wipe off any excess cleaner
Give it at least 30 minutes for the bag to dry.
Step 4. Apply Coach Leather Moisturizer to restore shine to your freshly cleaned leather bag
- Apply the moisturizer to the leather bag using a clean dry cloth.
- Wipe off excess moisturizer and scrub the skin with a clean cloth.
Method 4 of 6: Cleaning a Leather Bag Without a Cleaner Coach
Step 1. Wipe the bag with a damp cloth
Make sure the cloth you are using is not too wet so your bag doesn't get soaked.
Step 2. Use your finger or a cotton swab to apply a small amount of mild liquid soap to the stain on your bag
Don't rub too vigorously. Use gentle circular motions.
Step 3. When you've cleaned the stain as well as you can, take another damp cloth and brush off any soap residue in your bag

Method 5 of 6: Cleaning a Suede Coach Bag with Coach Cleaner
Step 1. Find the dirty area
Make sure this area is completely dry.
Step 2. Use the pink side of the cleanser
Step 3. Scrub the soiled area in a back and forth motion
Do not rub vigorously.
Step 4. Use a brush to remove any remaining cleanser and return the leather to its original shape
Method 6 of 6: Cleaning a Suede Coach Bag Without Coach Cleaner
Step 1. Wet a clean cloth with a little vinegar
Look for stains in your bag and gently rub them with a rag to remove the stains. This method can be done on the following bag collections:
- Hamptons Suede
- Hamptons Mosaic
- Soho Suede
- Chelsea Nubuc
- Don't overuse vinegar. Suede doesn't react very well to fluids.
Step 2. Dry the bag
Use another clean cloth to absorb any liquid in the damp areas of the bag.
Let the bag dry naturally in a cool dry place. Avoid places that are exposed to sunlight or places that are too hot
Step 3. Remove any remaining stains with a suede eraser
Gently rub the eraser over the stain until the stain is gone.
Step 4. Correct the flattened part of the bag
If the part of the bag you're cleaning looks flat or lacks texture, rub a small metal brush over the surface in a circular motion to get your bag back to its original shape.
Tips
- Mild soap and water can be used to clean the stains on the Signature Coach bag.
- Use the suede cleaning kit that you get when you buy the bag to clean the suede bag.
Warning
- Do not dry your bag in the sun. This can damage the color or material of the bag.
