You can find a post box and put your envelope in it, or go to your local post office. Maybe the post office provides a special box for mail to be sent, or you have to wait in line at a certain counter.

Part 2 of 2: Write More Interesting Fan Letters
Step 1. Write a catchy letter
Because JK Rowling gets a lot of letters, so an interesting letter will most likely get a response from her. Try to decorate your mailing envelope a bit with colors and pictures.
