Typing the symbol pi or “π” on a keyboard can be as complicated as using the “π” formula in an equation. However, entering the “π” symbol is not as difficult as one might think, whether it's a Mac or a PC. If you want to know how to quickly and easily insert the “π” symbol, just follow these easy steps.

Method 1 of 6: Typing the Pi Symbol Through a Mac Komputer
Step 1. Hold down the Option key
It's in the lower-right corner of the keyboard, just to the left of the left arrow key.

The “π” symbol will immediately appear on the screen.

Step 1. Press the Num key
This button is on the right or left side of the keyboard.

Step 7. Use a number pad or keyboard (number pad)
The number pad consists of a series of numbers from 0 to 9 and is usually located on the right side of the main keyboard. You can also use the number combination 960.
Step 4. Release the Alt key
After typing a number and releasing the Alt key, the “π” symbol will be displayed.
Step 5. Turn off Num
Press the Num key again to deactivate the number pad. The keyboard will be returned to its previous settings.
Method 3 of 6: Typing Pi Symbol Through Laptop
Step 1. Press the Num key
Most laptops come with a “hidden” keyboard that activates when you press the Num key. Look for this option on the left or right side of the keyboard.
If your keyboard has these features, you may see numbers or words printed in lowercase at the bottom of the keys, and sometimes displayed in a different color

The key combination is the alt=""Image" code for the "π" symbol. Don't forget to use the alt=" "Image" code which is the nine numbers printed on the left side of the keys “7”, “8”, “9”, “U”, “I”, “O”, “J”, “K”, “L”, and “M” in different colors, such as light blue or yellow. Do not use the regular number pad row to type the code.

The pi symbol will be displayed after that.

Method 4 of 6: Copying the “π” Symbol from the Internet
Step 1. Look for the “π” symbol on the internet
Just use the search keyword “pi”. After that, the pi symbol will be displayed immediately. You can also use the pi symbol used on this page/article.
Step 2. Mark the symbol “π“
Click the mouse button to place the cursor next to the symbol and drag the cursor over the symbol to mark it.

You can copy it by pressing Ctrl+C.

This method of typing the pi symbol will display the pi symbol which is slightly different from the previous methods. Compared to other texts, the displayed pi symbol will appear smaller and shorter.
Step 1. Make sure the number pad is activated
Otherwise, press the Num key on the number pad to activate it. This pad is usually on the right side of the main body of the keyboard.

This method of inserting the pi symbol is the easiest method you will ever see.
Step 1. Open a Word document in a text processing program
You can use LibreOffice, OpenOffice or Microsoft Office.
Step 2. Change the font option to "Symbol"
Step 3. Type in the letter "p"
