Here's how to catch the three legendary golem Pokémon in Pokémon Emerald.
Step
Step 1. Dive into calm water
Make sure you have max repell before entering the area. The Sealed Chamber is a cave next to Pacifidlog Town on Route 134 ocean currents. Note that you will have to stay at the bottom of the screen. There's a space in the still water there in the form of a black dot where you can Dive. Go to the inscription and press B; answer “yes” and go to the end. Use Dig to get to the end of the tunnel and read the inscription. Set Relicanth to be the last Pokémon in the group and Wailord to be first. If nothing happens, switch Relicanth to the first Pokémon and the last Wailord, then reread the inscription and an earthquake will occur. Then, the text says that there seems to be an open door in the distance. Don't forget to save the game before each fight!
Step 2. Capture Regirock by going to the Desert above Mauville City
Look for the cave and go to the very bottom. At the end of the cave, you will see Braille. You should be in the middle of the wall. Stay on the wall, go 2 steps down, 2 steps left, and use Rock Smash.
Step 3. Capture Regice by flying to Petalburg City and going west
Use Surf, and go southwest until you reach the island. Cross and go north from there; You will find a cave. Go in and read Braille. Walk counterclockwise around the edges of the entire booth and the door will open.
Step 4. Capture Registeel by flying to Lilycove City
Go west as far as possible. You will see a patch of berry trees or simply dirt. Go up the stairs, past the little Pokémon trainer that's hiding, through the grass and climbers, then into the cave. Go straight to the center of the cave and use Flash. You will open the cave entrance. Save the game, go in there, and prepare to fight Registeel.
Tips
- To find the Regi-tomb, look for a large rock surrounded by six small stones in a circle.
- If you can, put the Regis to sleep. Pokémon are easier to catch while sleeping.
-
It's a good idea to bring Ludicolo which has Leftovers and Ice Beam, Giga Drain, Surf, and Rain Dance moves.
This Pokémon is resistant to all Regis it will fight. Use Rain Dance to power up while healing your Pokémon. Rain Dish, along with Leftovers, will restore your Pokémon's blood every spin. If you need fast blood, you can try using Giga Drain on Regirock. Leech Seed/Toxic is sometimes more useful than Giga Drain and Rain Dance, but if you're not careful, you'll beat Regi without even catching him. You'll need to enter a Pokémon to sleep or immobilize Regi before it's caught, but Ludicolo will be able to hold it in until the time comes
- If you have Pokémon Diamond/Pearl and beat the Pokémon League, you can move Pokémon Regi to Diamond or Pearl. Then, head to the Snowpoint Temple, where at the bottom is a legendary Pokémon called Regigigas. You need to add all three Regis to the group for Regigigas to move. This Pokémon is level 70 so be prepared (bring as many Dusk/Timer Balls as you can as they are most effective!) In Pokémon Platinum, Regigigas is level one so make sure your Pokémon has False Swipe and moves that put it to sleep (Spore is best).
- It's best not to use Regi when trying to catch other Regis.
- When catching Regi, consider bringing a Pokémon with False Swipe. False Swipe will make the opponent's Pokémon blood 1.
- Ultra Ball and Timer Ball are key. Timer Balls can be purchased at Rustboro after talking to Devon on Route 116. Make sure to lower Regi's blood, then throw an Ultra Ball. If Regi hasn't been caught after round 30, start throwing the Timer Ball.
- Bring a Pokémon that carries Thunder Wave or one that has Static abilities in case the Pokémon tasked with lulling Regi down loses, and you run out of Revive.
Warning
- Save the game in Regi's cave so that if you beat one, it doesn't disappear.
- Make sure to take the Relicanth and Wailord with you into the cave.
