You have a Wii and want to add Wii Points quickly? There are several free ways to earn extra points that can be exchanged for certain prizes. Something free is always questionable, but there are a few ways that are worth trying as long as you put in the effort to get them.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Redeeming Stars for Wii Points (Europe and Japan)
Step 1. Link your Wii Shop Channel account with your Nintendo Club account
This is required in order to log in to the Nintendo Club site.
Register yourself on the Nintendo Club website. You automatically get 100 points, after completing the survey
Step 2. Look at the swipe cards in the game box
Sometimes this little piece of paper is on the back of the guide included in the game, which asks you to register (in order to receive stars).
Step 3. Register your product on the internet
It only takes a few minutes and no important information has to be provided.
Every time you register a product, you will receive 150 stars. All you have to do is register and complete a survey about buying habits and environments
Step 4. Visit the Wii Points Card Shop
Now you will run the process. Prepare pen and paper.
- Here you will be offered to exchange stars for Wii Points. Choose the amount you want to change (even though the number of stars is often "out"). When you do, you will receive a 12-digit code separated by 4 hyphens.
- Write down this code so you don't forget!
Step 5. Grab a Wii and visit the Wii Shop Channel
You must have linked it to your Nintendo Club account, right?
This is your main menu, the same place to build your Mii, get Netflix, etc.
Step 6. Click "Redeem Wii Points Card"
Use the 12-digit code received from the website and not the code on the card.
Step 7. Enter the 12-digit code into a blank field on the screen
Check the code correctly then click "yes" to redeem points.
Return to the Wii Shop Channel menu. Now you can exchange your Wii Points for free channels or games
Method 2 of 2: Exchanging Stars for Code from Website
Step 1. Do your research
There are tons of sites that claim to earn free Wii Points if you provide information, complete surveys, or complete offers. Many of these sites (if not all) are fake. Be careful before doing anything - your identity is at risk of being stolen.
Prizerebel and Rewards1 are two sites that claim to be able to do this. If the information you collect from the internet is confusing and spammy, ask your friends or family if they have any experience using this site
Step 2. Create a junk email address
Step 3. Sign up
If you see a promising site, complete the registration process there using fake emails and information. Once that's done, you can start exploring and looking for great deals.
Complete offers and surveys according to their descriptions. This may take a few minutes. Once you've added enough points, unlock the available rewards and exchange your points for a code. The code will be emailed to your spam email address
Tips
- Currently, redemption of stars for points is not available in the United States.
- Some sites that offer codes usually don't apply globally. Check first if the code applies to your area so as not to waste your time.
- When exchanging stars for points, the amount you want may be "not available at this time". But keep trying hard.
Warning
- There is no surefire way to earn free points. If you come to a site that promises something but doesn't act on it, be careful.
- Lots of people want you to use their referral link--they'll get free points if you use them.
