Smartwatches run on different operating systems, and if your smartwatch uses Android, you need to know how to pair it with your phone. Pairing your smartwatch with an Android device allows you to access basic functions such as making calls or displaying messages while driving or exercising without removing your phone.

Method 1 of 3: Basic Pairing
Step 1. Enable Bluetooth on Android device
Tap the cog icon on the home screen or app drawer to open the Settings menu. Tap “Wireless and Networks”, then “Bluetooth”. Move the slide on the screen to activate Bluetooth.
Step 2. Make your device discoverable
To do this, tap “Make device discoverable” and “OK” still from the same Bluetooth screen.
Step 3. Turn on the smartwatch
The trick, hold down the Power button for a long time until the pairing screen appears in the form of a watch and cellphone icon.
Step 4. Pair the smartwatch with the Android device
Tap “Search for Bluetooth devices” on the phone, and select a smartwatch when it appears. A new screen will appear showing the code.
- Check this code and your watch to match it, then tap the check mark on the smartwatch to confirm it. Tap “Pair” on the phone to connect the two devices.
- You've now paired your smartwatch with your Android device, but in order to fully use Android functions on your smartwatch, such as sync, you'll need a third-party app compatible with your smartwatch (e.g. SpeedUp Smartwatch for SpeedUp smartwatches or Smart Connect for smartwatches). smartwatches and Sony devices).
Method 2 of 3: SpeedUp Smartwatch
Step 1. Download and install the SpeedUp Smartwatch app
If you have a SpeedUp smartwatch, download the SpeedUp Smartwatch app here for free.
Step 2. Turn on the Bluetooth of the device
Open Settings, tap “Wireless and Networks”, then “Bluetooth”. Move the slide to ON to activate Bluetooth.
Step 3. Make your device discoverable
To do this, tap “Make device discoverable” and “OK” from the same Bluetooth screen.
Step 4. Launch SpeedUp Smartwatch
If it's already open, make sure "SpeedUp Smart Watch Bluetooth" is active on the screen.
Step 5. Locate your SpeedUp Smartwatch
Tap the “Search Smart watch” option at the bottom of the screen. Make sure your smartwatch is on so Android can find it.
Step 6. Pair the Android device with the SpeedUp smartwatch
A new screen will appear containing all the Bluetooth devices within range. Tap the Bluetooth name of the smartwatch, then tap “Bond” (bind).
When the pairing message appears, tap the check mark on the smartwatch and tap “Pair” on the phone. If the pairing of the two devices is successful, tap the “Send notification” option which will be displayed to the smartwatch. If the phone vibrates, it means the synchronization was successful
Step 7. Set up smartwatch notifications
To get notifications on your smartwatch, tap “Sync settings”, which is at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap “Activate Notification Service”, and on the new screen, select “Accessibility” and tap “Just once”.
- Tap “SpeedUp Smartwatch”, which was previously turned off, to activate it. A new message will appear asking “Use Smart watch?” (use a Smart Watch?) Tap “OK.” Now, you will receive a notification from your smartwatch.
Method 3 of 3: Smart Connect
Step 1. Get Smart Connect
Smart Connect is an app to use when you want to sync your Android device with a Sony smartwatch. You can get it for free on Google Play.
Step 2. Turn on the Bluetooth of the device
Open Settings, tap “Wireless and Networks” then “Bluetooth”. Move the slider to ON to activate Bluetooth.
Step 3. Make your device discoverable
Tap “Make device discoverable” then “OK” from the same Bluetooth screen.
Step 4. Turn on the smartwatch
Do this by long pressing the power button until the pairing screen appears containing the watch and mobile device icons.
Step 5. Pair the smartwatch with the Android device
Tap “Search for Bluetooth devices” on the phone, and select a smartwatch when it appears in the list of results. A new screen will appear and display the code.
Make sure this code and the code on the smartwatch match, then tap the tick on the smartwatch to confirm. Tap “Pair” on the phone to connect the two devices
Step 6. Launch Smart Connect
Look for the Smart Connect icon on your home screen or app drawer. This icon looks like a smartphone with a blue letter S.
Step 7. Enable smartwatch connection
On the screen you will see the smartwatch symbol. Underneath there will be a button “Enable/disable” (enable/disable).
