Children certainly get bored quickly with the same hairstyle again. Luckily, there are lots of hairstyles to choose from that are both cute and cute and easy to make. Parents may need to help young children do their hair, but older children may be able to do this on their own.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Twist Ties (Girls)
Step 1. Trim the hair
Start with clean, dry hair. Use a comb to smooth out tangles in the hair.
This style can be made on all types of hair, whether straight, curly, or wavy. In addition, this style can also be made on medium or long hair. As long as it's long enough to tie in a ponytail, you can make a hairstyle like this
Step 2. Gather the hair and tie a ponytail below
Gather all the hair at the back of the head, bring it near the nape of the neck and tie it.
- Try to keep all the sides and tails of the hair as smooth as possible. If necessary, collect the hair with one hand, and continue combing with the other.
- Tie with a hair band.
Step 3. Pull the hair band down
Gently pull the hair band down 5 to 7.5 cm.
Actual distance may vary depending on hair length. Make sure the length of the hair under the ponytail is at least the same length as the hair between the ponytail and the head, or longer
Step 4. Create a gap
Use your index and middle fingers to separate the hair that is directly above the rubber band.
Try to create a gap in the middle of the top of the hair band. The gap in the hair may not last long at that point, so be prepared to hold the gap in position with your fingers until you complete the next step
Step 5. Flip the ponytail through the gap
Use your other hand, and flip the end of the ponytail up through the gap you just made.
- Pull the end of the ponytail all the way through the gap until it hangs down again. After doing this step, the hair gap should not move, and the hair on the rubber band will be twisted.
- If the ponytail is sticking up and doesn't hang straight down, gently pull the hair band down to loosen it.
Step 6. Comb the ends of the hair
Gently comb the ends of the hair that hang down to smooth out any tangles as you style them.

Method 2 of 4: Ribbon Bun (Girls)
Step 1. Trim the tangled hair
Start with clean, dry hair. Use a comb or hair brush to smooth out tangled hair.
This style is best suited for long hair, and is also easiest on straight and wavy hair. However, it may be difficult to make on curly hair
Step 2. Apply hair gel
Apply a small amount of hair gel to the hair shaft. Use just enough gel to smooth your hair without making it limp.
- You don't have to use hair gel, but it will make the bun look neater and last longer. Baby hair oil can be used instead of gel if you prefer a less sticky product.
- Use your fingers or a comb to spread the gel all over your hair shaft, from roots to tips.
Step 3. Tie the hair and make a high ponytail
Gather all sections of hair and tie a ponytail on top of your head. Slightly shift the ponytail so that it lies slightly to the side.
- Tie the ponytail tightly. Use your hands or a comb to trim the hair sticking out of your head.
- Tie the ponytail with a hair band. Wrap the hair band a few times to keep it in position. Pause before wrapping the band one last time, continuing to hold the ponytail and the hair band.
Step 4. Pull a part of the ponytail through the hair band
Do not pull the entire ponytail through the hair band when attaching the final knot. However, only partially withdraw. That way, a bun will be formed on top of the head.
- Put the ponytail forward, in front of the face.
- Pass a third of the ponytail through the hair band as you wind it back up.
- Adjust the bun above your head so it doesn't shift. There may be some hair sticking out towards the face.
Step 5. Divide the bun into two parts
Use your fingers to separate the center of the bun. Try to divide it into 2 equal parts.
Trim the hair by hand as much as possible. Carefully style your hair so that no more hair gets through the hair band
Step 6. Cross the rest of the hair into the middle of the bun
Take the remaining hair hanging in front of your face, and cross it over the slit in the bun. Hold it in position with hairpins.
- Firmly pull the rest of the hair up the middle of the bun. That way, the parting of the hair can be maintained. In addition, after crossing the hair, the shape of the ribbon will begin to appear.
- Tuck the bobby pin over the rest of the ponytail at the base of the bun and behind the head. Tuck the bobby pin as close to the bun as possible.
Step 7. Secure the bun by attaching bobby pins on both sides
Gently pull on one side of the bun and widen the ribbon shape. Use bobby pins to hold your hair in position.
Repeat the same steps on the other side
Step 8. Spray some hairspray
Trim the hair shafts sticking out with your fingers, then spray a little hairspray all over your hair to keep them in position.
Once you've done this step, you're done
Method 3 of 4: Spike's Short Hair (Boy)
Step 1. Dry wet hair with a towel
Start with clean, damp hair. Use a towel to remove any excess water, but don't wait until your hair is completely dry.
- Hair will be easier to shape in damp conditions, but too heavy in wet conditions. So, use a towel to remove any excess water, but keep your hair damp.
- This style is easiest to make on short hair of all thickness levels. Ideally, the hair on the nape of the neck and sides of the head should be very short, but the length of the hair on the top of the head should be between 5-7.5 cm. Keep in mind that your hair should also be fairly straight, although this style can also be done on wavy hair.
Step 2. Apply styling products
Dispense a coin-sized amount of hair paste or pomade into the palm of your hand, then smooth it out. Massage the paste all over your hair.
- Use your fingers to spread the paste all over your hair. Try to spread the paste from roots to tips of hair on your child's head.
- The best product to use is determined by the thickness of the hair. Determine if your child's hair is thick or thin, and choose the right product for the condition. Light pomade tends to be suitable for thick hair, but heavy wax may be needed for thin hair.
Step 3. Use a diffuser
Attach the diffuser to the hairdryer, and dry the child's hair while brushing it upwards. Continue until most of the hair is dry.
- To help create the spiked texture, take a small section of hair from the roots, and pull it straight up. Point the hairdryer at the area you are styling.
- Continue until your hair is slightly damp to the touch, but not visibly wet.
Step 4. Set the spike texture
When your hair is almost dry, turn off the blow dryer and use your fingers to style the thorns as desired.
- The simplest option is to slip your fingers through your hair and pull them up in the same direction.
- Alternatively, create a "random" look by pulling your hair in different directions.
Step 5. Let hair dry naturally
Let the hair dry by itself. If necessary, you can maintain the style by spraying a little hairspray.

Method 4 of 4: Random Curls (Boys)
Step 1. Dry your hair with a towel
Start with freshly washed and damp hair. Use a towel to remove any excess water from your hair.
- Hair is easier to style when it's damp, however, water can weigh down your hair, making it difficult to style. Blot the excess water until it's no longer dripping, but keep your hair damp.
- Keep in mind that this style is best suited for boys with medium to thick curly hair. You might also be able to do the same for wavy hair, only this style won't last long on straight or thin hair.
- In addition, this style is easiest to make when the child's hair is a little longer.
Step 2. Apply hair gel
Spread the soft hair gel all over your hair from roots to tips.
Dispense a coin-sized amount of hair gel into the palm of your hand. Rub both palms to smooth it out, then rub it into the child's hair
Step 3. Comb the hair in a forward direction
Use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to direct your child's hair forward, so that it is directly in front of his face.
- Comb all of the child's hair. All hair, both on the top, sides, and back of the head must be brought in front of the face.
- Combing the hair in this step also helps to spread the gel all over the hair shaft.
Step 4. Curl your hair
Take the hair with your fingers then curl it towards the scalp. Curl your hair a little at a time until everything is arranged like this.
- Start at the ends of your hair and press each section of hair toward your scalp. Hold it for 5-10 seconds before releasing it.
- During styling, make sure that your hair is tilted toward your face and away from the back of your head.
- Make sure the entire section of hair is curled like this. Don't be afraid if there are overlapping parts either.
Step 5. Allow hair to dry by itself
Let your hair dry naturally, and don't use a hairdryer. When you're done, your child's face should look like it's framed by random curls.
