Have you ever seen someone whose hair color is light and colorful? Do you want to get hair that is lighter in color and vibrant? Sometimes, the steps in the pack need to be taken to the next level. Follow these few steps to get the Manic Panic color in your hair!
Step
Method 1 of 2: Extending Paint Color Duration
Step 1. Prepare a pack of Manic Panic hair dye
There are many choices! Try taking the " Amplified " formula whose color lasts 30% longer than Classic !
Step 2. Part your hair
Use bobby pins or large clips to make it easier.
Step 3. If you don't want to paint your skin, protect your face and neck with conditioner
Remember that this paint is semi-permanent and can be washed off with warm water and soap, or apply Vaseline all over the face and neck.
- Tape can also be used.
- Layers for dyeing your hair can protect your neck and clothes.
Step 4. Take a section of hair and apply some paint to that section
Apply it as close to the scalp as possible (if the scalp is exposed to paint, the paint will disappear when washed with shampoo). Use a paint brush so that the color fills the hair.
Step 5. Comb all the dyed hair
Stop at each section when foam appears.
Step 6. Leave it for 30-60 minutes
Step 7. Blow-dry all the dyed hair. Usually, when the hair is done the ends will be like straw and the roots will be slightly colored.
Step 8. Let it sit for a while
Ignore the instructions on the packaging. Paint should be left on as long as possible first. Don't worry, Manic Panic won't damage your hair. This paint is made from vegetable and natural ingredients. If you can, leave it for 1-3 hours. You can wear a shower cap even when sleeping.
Step 9. Rinse
Use as cold water as you can. Thus the color will last longer on the hair and not dull quickly.
Rinse until the rinse water is clear or only a small amount of color remains. Make sure all sections of hair have been thoroughly rinsed
Step 10. Pour the vinegar all over your hair
This part is completely optional, but once done the hair will look great afterwards. The vinegar will lock the color in your hair so it lasts longer!
Step 11. When everything is done, dry with a towel and style your hair as usual
Enjoy your funky hair!
Method 2 of 2: Adding Dye to Very Dry Hair
Step 1. Once the hair is bleached to a pale yellow, allow it to dry
Do not give hair conditioner before adding Manic Panic. Hair should have as many pores as possible.
Blow-drying and straightening hair can remove a lot of moisture from the hair
Step 2. Give Manic Panic as usual
If you're using the split method, or whatever method you're using, it's a good idea to mix the paint with a conditioner to make it runny. Apply the mixture as if you were conditioning your hair.
You can't add conditioner first and then dye your hair. Conditioner will protect the hair so that the dye can not enter completely
Step 3. Let the paint soak for a few hours
Leave the hair for 4-6 hours. The longer the paint, the more durable it will be.
Step 4. Wash your hair
Don't use shampoo, just rinse. You can add conditioner if you want, but it's not really necessary.
Let hair dry by the wind. You will be surprised by the softness of your hair
Step 5. Style your hair as usual
Use a heat protectant spray if using a curling iron or hair straightener. Wait at least 48-72 hours before washing your hair so that the hair color locks in and lasts.
Step 6. After the dyeing process is complete, don't use regular shampoo
You should only use sulfate-free shampoo.
- You also need to learn not to wash your hair every night or day. You have to endure washing your hair once a week. This can be done, but it's all up to you.
- The hair color will last for 2 weeks to a month. Manic Panic is not as durable as other hair dyes (Special Effects, Punky Color.) Other paints can last up to two months if properly cared for.
Tips
- Rinse with the bathtub faucet. Don't rinse in the shower because the color can get all over the place and get messy. You also won't know when the color is gone.
- You can mix a little Manic Panic with shampoo and conditioner, to restore color with each wash.
- If you use a different color for each section, start the color in the areas you want and conditioner everywhere else and then follow the steps. Repeat as necessary.
- The heat will make the paint last longer. The more heat used during the dyeing process, the brighter and longer the hair color will be. It is very helpful if after drying, the hair is straightened with a straightening iron. However, keep in mind that too much heat can actually damage your hair.
- If you're creating stripes like a coontail, or a cheetah pattern, it's best to start with a light color, follow all the steps above and then repeat with a darker color.
- The less the hair is washed, the longer the color lasts. When washing, use a special shampoo/conditioner for dyed hair and cold water.
- Manic Panic will stain the skin. Use Windex to clean it.
- If your hair is very dark, lighten it first with bleach to make it bright. There are stores that sell Manic Panic "bleach-out" kits for bleaching hair, but all brands are also great when used properly.
- Use a facial toner to clean paint stains on the skin and the sink.
- For a beautiful pastel color, mix three parts conditioner and one part paint together if the color is dark. Or, two parts conditioner and one part paint if the paint is light!
Warning
- Manic Panic can permanently stain fabric/tile/porcelain. If it's already dirty, clean it with toothpaste. “Magic eraser " can also be used.
- Manic Panic color is easy to lose, regardless of the painting method. Don't be disappointed if the colors fade. Set up Manic Panic again and paint again!
- Make sure you are not allergic to this product. Read the ingredients in the paint, do a test and rinse immediately if you start to feel bad.
- Be careful when sleeping with a shower cap or plastic bag on your head. Sometimes they can shift and cover your nose and mouth, causing you to suffocate.
