Part 1 of 3: Choosing a Base Type and Design
Step 1. Determine the type of base you want
There are three main types of bases: Farming, Trophy, and Hybrid.
- Farming headquarters is a type of base that is usually active when farming. The main objective of this base was to leave the town hall far beyond the walls. You can lose some trophies. Don't worry because you will be rewarded with a shield for 12 hours so no one can attack your village. You also usually keep supplies and possibly collectors within the walls.
- The headquarters trophy is when you put the town hall inside the base, and the trophy is the most important thing to you. this is the opposite of the farming base. You will risk losing resources.
- Hybrid bases are those that keep trophies and resources in balance.
Step 2. Decide what kind of layout you want
Some of the popular base designs include:
- Eggshell-based bases are bases surrounded by several walls. For example, one core is surrounded by walls, with the outer layer of walls surrounding buildings of little importance.
- Compartment headquarters is when all the important buildings have their respective compartments, and the less important buildings are outside the headquarters thus forming an extra “building wall”.
- The bulkhead base is similar to the Titanic. The idea here is that there are multiple compartments so that if your enemy overwhelms one section, the other will support it. This type is a combination of egg-shell base and compartment.
- Modified compartment headquarters is when a compartment holds 2-3 buildings instead of just one.
Part 2 of 3: Building Laying
Step 1. Keep the splash damage building close to the center
This is one of the buildings that needs to be placed in the center of the headquarters. One of them is mortar because it has a large reach and zone of weakness. The wizard tower lets you relax a bit because it's small in reach and has no weak points.
Step 2. Center the buildings in the "normal" category, including archer towers and cannons
You have to make sure each tower protects the other. Thus, if one tower is attacked, the other tower will fire on the attackers. Also in this category is air defense. You need to center this building because if it is destroyed, the base becomes an easy target for the dragons.
Step 3. Follow your instincts when setting a trap
Here are some of the most versatile buildings in the game. This building can be used for several techniques, including "tunneling" and breaking walls (see section three). Basically, have fun with traps. If you want to make a base to prank your opponent, do it. Everything is free up to you.
Part 3 of 3: Using Another Wall/Shield Method
Step 1. Use "double-wall"
This trick is done by building one layer of wall, leaving some distance, then building another wall. Thus, the archers could not shoot at the walls.
Step 2. Build a "fool's headquarters"
The trick, put the "accident" hole in the center of the base, and fill it with traps. You can also surround it with highly durable buildings so that ordinary players are forced to send lots of soldiers, then eliminate them all at once.
Step 3. Use funnels
This is where you make "accidental" holes in the walls so that soldiers who enter there are crushed by the traps that are set.
Step 4. Use a wall-breaking shot
This is when you put a wall with a breaking point, and put a trap in the hole. This way, the wall breaker will be thrown into the sky instead of destroying your wall.
Tips
- Try not to put the mortar near a resource because its weak point will hurt you.
- Place a small Bomb a bit far from where you put your Gold Mine and Elixir Collector. This will distract the opponent who usually sends archers to lure your soldiers to attack the soldiers so they can be destroyed
- Monitor corners as wobbly walls can help one wall breaker fit into multiple compartments.
- Put two large bombs together so that when the hog is triggered, both will explode.
- Many ordinary players do not want to insert a gap in the wall. In fact, these loopholes often strengthen the base.
