Le Creuset is a well-known cookware brand known for its cast iron pans, dutch ovens, pots and kettles. Most of Le Creuset's products come with a lifetime warranty and are believed to last a long time. Over time, the surface of the material on Le Creuset cookware can turn dirty and stained. Fortunately, you can clean it safely and effectively by hand or in a variety of other ways.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Hand Washing Le Creuset Cookware
Step 1. Let the Le Creuset cookware cool down first
Pouring cold water into a still hot pan, pot, or kettle can damage the enamel of the material. Before cleaning the kitchen utensils, make sure they are cool.
Step 2. Fill the pot with warm and soapy water
Place the dish soap into the base of the cookware. Pour hot water over the soap until it foams. Stir with a spoon until the water starts to foam.
Step 3. Let the cookware sit for 10-15 minutes
Leaving the cookware on will help break up any food particles stuck to its surface.
Step 4. Wash the pan with a sponge
Wipe Le Creuset cookware with a soft sponge. Do not use a coarse-textured tool such as a wire brush. You should wash pots, kettles and pans immediately after use.
Nylon or abrasive cleaners can be used to remove food residue that cannot be removed with a regular sponge
Step 5. Rinse the pan with hot water
Pour hot water over your cookware until no foam or soap residue remains.
Step 6. Dry the pan with a dry cloth
Use a cotton cloth, kitchen tissue, or microfiber cloth to wipe the cookware until all the liquid and soap are gone. Make sure there is no residual water and soap left on the surface of your cookware.
Method 2 of 3: Cleaning Scorched Stains
Step 1. Boil the baking soda and water with your cookware
Use a measuring spoon to take two tablespoons of baking soda and put it in the boiling water. Use a wooden spatula or spoon to mix the baking soda powder into the water. When finished, empty the contents of the cookware and dry using a clean cloth.
Step 2. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with water until it turns into a kind of paste
Pour a spoonful of baking soda into a bowl and add cold water little by little while stirring until it turns into a paste that has the consistency of toothpaste.
Step 3. Apply the paste to the scorched area
Apply an even layer of the paste you made earlier to the inside of Le Creuset. You can use your hands or kitchen paper.
You can also use pasta to clean the outside of a Le Creuset pan or pan
Step 4. Leave the paste overnight
The pasta will begin to absorb the scorch stain on the surface of your Le Creuset cookware.
Step 5. Spray the stained area with white vinegar
The next day, fill a spray bottle with purified white vinegar. This will help you clean your pan or pan, as well as break up any hardened clumps of baking soda.
Step 6. Scrape and wipe off the dried baking soda paste
Take an old toothbrush, then dip it in the paste that was made. Use circular motions over the burned area until no baking soda paste remains.
Avoid using abrasive tools, such as a wire brush, as they can scratch your Le Creuset cookware
Step 7. Rinse and dry your Le Creuset
Rinse Le Creuset under cold water and dry with a cloth. If the scorch is still there, you can repeat this step until the stain is gone.
Method 3 of 3: Cleaning Their Other Le Creuset Cookware
Step 1. Wash the glassware by hand
You can put Le Creuset's glassware on top of the dishwasher, but it's best to wash it by hand. Use warm, soapy water to clean the outside and inside of the cookware before rinsing it and drying it thoroughly with a rag.
Step 2. Place the stainless steel knife in the dishwasher
Le Creuset stainless steel blades are machine washable. Alternatively, you can also wash it by hand.
Be careful when cleaning sharp knives
Step 3. Dry the wood Le Creuset product thoroughly
You can wash wooden items separately by hand. Use dish soap and warm water to clean it. Drying the cookware thoroughly will prevent it from cracking, warping, or smudging.
You can also apply mineral oil to the cookware to make it last longer
Step 4. Clean the silicone cutlery in the dishwasher
You can remove the silicone part from the handle of the wooden cookware and wash it separately in the dishwasher. Le Creuset products made of silicone are machine washable and will not break or melt inside. Dry the silicone cutlery thoroughly before putting it back in its original place.
