Step 1. Update the video card driver

- If you don't know the manufacturer of your graphics card, press Win+R and type dxdiag. You can find the video card manufacturer's name on the Display tab.

Step 2. Install all Windows updates
Updates to Windows may fix problems with DirextX or other operating system files. Keeping Windows up to date will make your system more secure and stable in general, so it's worth doing.

Step 3. Install. Net Framework
The. Net Framework is a software library from Microsoft needed by League of Legends. With the. Net Framework version 3.5 installed, League of Legends may be running again. Even if you have the. Net Framework version 4.0, you may still need to install the. Net Framework version 3.5.

Step 4. Use League of Legends Repair Tool to repair your game files
League of Legends provides a tool for rebuilding game files, so it's possible that problems caused by corrupt files can be fixed.
- Open the League of Legends launcher.
- Click the gear button to open the Settings menu.
- Click the "Repair" button. The repair process takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
Step 5. Lower the quality settings in the game
If you use graphics settings that are too high, the hardware may overwork and cause the game to crash. Try to lower the quality settings to the lowest point, then see if the game stabilizes. If the game becomes stable, you can start increasing the settings one by one until you find a balance between stability and graphic effects.

Method 2 of 3: Fix Black Screen
Step 1. Open the video card control panel
The most common cause of a black screen is poor antialiasing settings on the video card.
You can access the Nvidia and AMD control panels by right-clicking on the desktop
Step 2. Fix antialiasing on Nvidia cards
If you have an AMD/ATI card, proceed to the next step.
- Select "Manage 3D Settings".
- Select the Global Settings tab.
- Click the drop-down menu next to "Antialiasing - Settings", then select "OFF".
Step 3. Fix antialiasing on AMD/ATI cards
- Click the "Advanced" button.
- Expand the "3D" menu on the "Graphics Settings" tab.
- Select the "Anti-Aliasing" option.
- Check the "Use application settings" box.
Method 3 of 3: Repairing Game Launcher
Step 1. Open Windows Explorer
If the League of Legends launcher doesn't start, you can delete the launcher files, and the files will be downloaded when the launcher is run again.
Step 2. Go to
C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects.
Step 3. Delete the
lol_launcher.
Step 4. Start the launcher as usual
The launcher will download all the necessary files and you can start the game.
