This wikiHow teaches you how to invite up to 500 Facebook friends (maximum allowed for this method) to an event you create on the Facebook website via the Google Chrome browser. As of February 2017, you can only send invitations via the desktop site.
Step
Part 1 of 2: Installing the Invite All Friends on Facebook Extension
Step 1. Open the Invite All Friends on Facebook extension page via Google Chrome
You must be signed into Chrome in order to install this extension.
If you see a silhouette icon in the upper-right corner of your browser window instead of your initial Google+ name or profile photo, click on the icon and select “ Sign In ”.
Step 2. Click Add to Chrome
It's in the upper-right corner of the window. After that, the extension will be installed to the Chrome browser.
Part 2 of 2: Invite Friends on Facebook
Step 1. Visit Facebook
Step 2. Click the Facebook logo
It's on the left side of the search bar at the top of your browser window.
Step 3. Click Events (“Events”)
This option is on the left side of the window, under the " Explore " category.
Step 4. Click +Create Event (“+Create Event”)
It's in the middle-right side of the window.
Step 5. Click Create Private Event
This is the first option that appears in the drop-down menu.
- Only invited guests can view the secret event.
- Public events are open to any Facebook user and there is no need to use an invitation.
Step 6. Enter event details
Include the time, place, and title of the event.
You can also allow friends to invite others by checking the box at the bottom of the page
Step 7. Click Create Private Event
It's in the lower-right corner of the dialog box.
Step 8. Click Invite (“Invite”)
This drop-down menu is on the right side of the window.
Step 9. Click Invite Facebook Friends (“Invite Facebook Friends”)
Step 10. Click All Friends
This option is on the left side of the dialog box.
There is no " select all " or " select all " function in the " All Friends " list
Step 11. Select some friends
Click the button next to three or four friends' names, then uncheck the options.
Step 12. Click the ️ button
This button is the logo of the previously installed extension and is displayed on the right side of the search bar at the top of the “ Chrome ”.
- The extension will select all friends on the list (maximum 500 people).
- Facebook currently limits the number of invitees to 500 people to prevent spam from appearing.
Step 13. Click Send Invites (“Send Invitations”)
It's in the lower-right corner of the dialog box. After that, event invitations will be sent to the friends that have been selected.
Tips
In the future, you can duplicate or duplicate the created event and edit the details so that you don't have to select all your friends individually
Warning
- This method can only be done on the web version of Facebook via the Chrome browser.
- Don't use codes or extensions that “claim” to select all friends. All of these codes have been fixed by Facebook so they can't be reused. In addition, foreign extensions are also generally “inserted” by malware.
