A Google account is the key to accessing all of Google's products and services, many of which are free. Signing up for a Google account is a quick process, but you'll need to provide some personal information. Follow this guide to find out what you should do to get the most out of Google.

Step 1. Open any Google web page
These pages include Google, Gmail, Google+, Drive, and more. Click the red "Sign In" button, then click the red "Sign Up" button. This will take you to the "Create a new Google Account" page.
The text on the button may vary depending on which Google service you want to sign up for. For example, Gmail has a "Create an Account" button instead of a "Sign Up" button
Step 2. Set up an account username
Normally, your username will be the name of your new Gmail account. You can click the link at the bottom of the username to create a Google account using an existing email address instead of creating a new Gmail address.
- This option is not available if you are specifically trying to sign up for an account for Gmail. In this case, you will need to create a new Gmail account.
- If your preferred username is not available, you will be given several related options, or you can try a different username.
Step 3. Fill in any other required information
You must fill in your first and last name, date of birth (for age checking), gender, phone number in case you lose access to the account, and another email address for confirmation. You must also fill in the country where you live.
A mobile phone number is recommended but not required
Step 4. Complete the CAPTCHA
This is a checking tool that ensures that the person creating the new account is really a human, not a program. If you can't read it, click the refresh button next to that section to get a new one, or click the speaker button to read it through your computer's speakers.
Step 5. Agree to the privacy policy
Take the time to read the entire privacy policy so that you are aware of what Google can and cannot do with your personal information. Check the box if you agree to Google's terms.
Step 6. Click Next Step
This will take you to your Google+ profile creation page. All Google accounts create Google+ accounts when they are first created. You can choose whether you want to add a digital photo of yourself to the account.
Step 7. Click Get Started
Your Google account has been created successfully. You can click the button to return to Google, or visit another Google service. You should be logged into the system automatically, no matter which Google site you visit.
