This wikiHow teaches you how to download music from Google Play on a Windows or Mac computer. You can only download music that was previously purchased or uploaded to your Google Music account.

Method 1 of 2: Using the Google Music Website
Step 1. Visit https://music.google.com via a web browser
Sign in to your Google account using your email address and password if you can't access your account automatically
Step 2. Click the Music Library tab
This icon is in the left column and looks like a stack of vinyl records with musical notes on top.
Step 3. Click the Albums tab or Songs.
This tab is at the top of the page, below the search bar.
Step 4. Click
Place your cursor over a song or album, then click the three vertical dots icon in the top right corner.
Step 5. Click Download or Download Albums.
If the option is not displayed, you may not have the rights to download the music. Click the Buy option to buy the song in question
Method 2 of 2: Using Google Music Manager
Step 1. Visit the Music Manager page via a browser
Open a web browser and access https://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#/manager to download the Google Music Manager program.
Step 2. Click Download Music Manager
It's an orange button at the bottom of the page. After that, the program will be downloaded immediately.
Step 3. Double-click the Music Manager installation file to install the program
On a Windows computer, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. On a Mac computer, drag the Music Manager icon to the “Applications” folder to complete the installation.
By default, downloaded files are usually located in the " Download " folder on both Windows and Mac computers
Step 4. Open Music Manager
Double-click the orange headphone icon in the "Recently Added" section of the Start menu (Windows) or the Applications folder (Mac).
Step 5. Sign in to your Google account
Type in your Gmail address and password to sign in to the Google account you want to use with Google Music.
Step 6. Select Download songs from Google Play to my computer
Click the radio button next to the “Download songs from Google Play to my computer” option to check it, then select “ Next " or " Continue ”.
Step 7. Select the folder where you want to download the music files
You can select the computer's main music storage folder or click the radio button next to the " I will select a folder " option to select a different folder.
Step 8. Select the music you want to download
Click the "Download my library" radio button for all the music you own, including the music you've uploaded yourself. You can also click the " Download all my free and purchased music " radio button to download only the music you have purchased or got for free from Google Play.
Step 9. Click Start Download
The music will immediately download to your computer.
