Before using Microsoft Office 2010, you will be asked to activate the product via the Internet or by telephone. If it is not activated, the access you have to use its features is limited.

Step 1. Run the Microsoft Office 2010 application on your computer
Step 2. Click “File” and point to “Help
”
Step 3. Click “Activate Product Key
” The Activation Wizard will be displayed on the screen.
If “Activate Product Key” does not appear under “Help,” this means that your software is already activated and no further action is required
Step 4.
Select the option to activate Microsoft Office 2010 via the internet.
Follow the steps in the online Activation Wizard to register and activate your product. You will be asked to enter your product code, name and contact information. The product code is 25 characters long and is usually printed on receipts or on the protective packaging associated with Microsoft Office 2010.
