The use of third-party applications to download videos is a violation of the terms of the YouTube (and possibly other sites) user agreement. This activity also violates copyright laws so apps designed to download such content are usually removed or blocked.

Method 1 of 3: Using Y2Mate.com
Step 1. Visit a video streaming website
Use a web browser to visit video streaming websites such as YouTube.com.
Step 2. Find the video you want to download
Use the search bar at the top of the page to type in the title or description of the desired video.
Step 3. Click the video
Select the video you want to download by clicking on it.
Step 4. Copy the video URL
Click the search bar at the top of the browser window, select " Edit ” on the menu bar, then click “ Select All " After that, select " Edit "again and click" Copy ”.
Step 5. Visit Y2Mate.com
Type "y2mate.com" into the search bar at the top of your browser and press Return.
Step 6. Click the link field
It's at the top of the browser window. Paste the copied YouTube link into the field.
Step 7. Click Start
It's a blue button to the right of the link you've entered.
Step 8. Select the video quality
A list of available resolutions will be displayed. Click on the video quality that best suits your needs.

Step 1. Visit a video streaming website

Step 4. Copy the video URL

Type "savefrom.net" into the search bar at the top of your browser and press Return.

The copied YouTube link will be pasted into the text field.

It's a blue button to the right of the link you entered.
Step 10. Click download video in browser
It's in the lower-right corner of the window.

Click the text to the right of the green "Download" button that appears below the link you previously entered. After that, a menu of available video formats and quality will load. Select the desired quality by touching or clicking on it.
Step 12. Click Download
A dialog box will open and you can change the file name if you want through that box.
Step 13. Determine the location to save the video

It's a blue button in the lower-right corner of the dialog box. The video will then be downloaded to the computer and can then be watched offline.
Method 3 of 3: Using YouTube Red on Mobile
Step 1. Open YouTube
This app is marked by a white icon with a red triangle surrounded by a white triangle.
Step 2. Touch the Google account profile photo
It's in the top-right corner of the screen.
If you're not logged into your account, tap the red and white silhouette icon in the top right corner of the screen, then select “ SIGN IN ” and enter your Google account username and password.

- YouTube Red is a paid subscription service that allows you to download videos for offline viewing without violating the YouTube user agreement.
- Streaming is a method of watching videos without having to have a copy of the video, like when you watch television. However, this method requires an internet connection. This method also helps protect the copyright of the video creators.
- Downloaded videos will take up storage space on your iPad or other device, but can be enjoyed without an internet connection. If you did not purchase or shoot the video yourself, or have permission from the creator, keeping a copy of the video may be a violation of copyright law. Usually, downloading videos from YouTube is a violation of the YouTube user agreement.
Step 4. Touch TRY IT FREE
It's a blue button on the right side of the screen.
- A 30 day free trial period is valid at the start of membership.
- You can cancel your membership through the “Settings” menu on YouTube.
Step 5. Enter the password
Type in the password associated with the Apple ID to confirm the purchase.
Step 6. Touch OK
Step 7. Touch the “search” icon
It's a magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 8. Enter the search keywords
Use the search bar at the top of the screen to type in the title or description of the desired video.

It's next to the title of the video you want to download.

It's in the middle of the menu.
Step 11. Choose a quality
You can choose the quality of the video to download, depending on the original quality of the video file.
Higher quality videos take up more storage space on the device
Step 12. Touch OK
The video will be downloaded to the iPad's storage space.
Step 13. Touch Library
This folder icon is at the bottom of the screen.
Step 14. Touch Offline videos
This option is in the “Available offline” section in the left pane of the screen.
- The downloaded videos will be displayed in the right pane.
- Touch the video to play it.
