As you probably already know, You cannot find out which users are following a particular Spotify playlist.
Although this feature is frequently requested by Spotify users, the status update uploaded by the Spotify development team in 2019 confirms that they have no plans to implement the feature. As annoying as it is, there are things you can still do to increase the popularity of your playlists and profile on Spotify via Android devices.
Step
Method 1 of 3: What can you find out about followers?
Step 1. You can still find out the users who follow your Spotify profile
This information doesn't necessarily indicate whether someone is following a particular playlist you've created, but at least you can find out who's following you. Also, if someone follows your profile, there's a good chance that he or she will follow one or more of the playlists you've created. To access the profile on the Spotify app, touch the tab “ Home ”, select the gear icon at the top of the screen, then tap your name. After that, select the number of followers at the top of the page to see the complete list of followers of your profile.
You can touch a follower's name to visit their profile so you can get an idea of what kind of music they like. You can also view his public playlists, as well as any other playlists he has followed and marked as public. This information leads us to the following question…
Method 2 of 3: Are there any other tricks I can try to find out who is following the created playlist?
Step 1. You may be able to find out the lists that someone is following
Keep in mind that the word may be italicized in the previous sentence. Spotify has publicly displayed every new playlist that users have followed on their profile. But now, when someone follows a list, the information will not be published, unless the user in question manually marks the playlist as a public list. If you want to know if a particular user is following your playlist, go to their profile and select “ Playlists ” at the top of the page. Browse the list to find out if your playlist is showing among the lists he follows publicly.
Keep in mind that even if your playlist doesn't appear on their profile, they may still follow your list, but not mark it as public
Method 3 of 3: What else can be tried?
Step 1. You can vote to bring the feature on Spotify
One of the unique features of the Spotify online community is that members can suggest new features on the forums. Other users can vote to indicate whether they want these features implemented, then Spotify's development team will record the suggestions or votes of the users. The follower list feature was first proposed in 2013, but users are still voting for the feature to be brought back in 2021. The Spotify developers state that the proposal cannot be implemented at this time. However, this does not necessarily indicate that they will not bring it back in the future. To vote, visit https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Playlists-View-all-Playlist-Followers/idi-p/291448 and click “ +vote ”.
If you are not already a registered member of the Spotify community, you will be asked to sign in using your Spotify account to vote
Tips
- When you use the Spotify app on your computer, you can see the music that the users you follow are currently listening to. If someone is listening to one of your playlists, the name of the list will appear below that username in the right sidebar.
- Share your Spotify playlist on your favorite social media platforms to attract more followers.
