This wikiHow teaches you how to grant administrator status to a member of a Telegram group via a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Method 1 of 3: Via iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Open Telegram
The app is marked with a blue and white paper airplane icon labeled “Telegram”. You can usually find this icon on your device's home screen.
Step 2. Touch the group you want to manage
Step 3. Touch the group photo
It's in the top-right corner of the group window.
Step 4. Touch Edit
Step 5. Select Add Admins
Now you can see the list of group members.
Step 6. Select someone you want to be an administrator
Once touched, the user will be selected.
If you modify the supergroup, you select the option to assign special permissions to the administrator. Use the switches to enable or disable the permissions you want to grant
Step 7. Touch Done
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. The new administrator will now be added.
Method 2 of 3: Via Android Device
Step 1. Open Telegram
The app is marked with a blue and white paper airplane icon labeled “Telegram”. You can usually find this icon in the app drawer or on your device's home screen.
Step 2. Touch the group you want to manage
Step 3. Touch the group name
It's at the top of the group window.
Step 4. Select Set Admins
Step 5. Touch the user you want to make administrator
After that, the user will be selected.

It's a tick icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. The new administrator will now be added.
Method 3 of 3: Via Computer
Step 1. Open the Telegram app on your Mac or PC
If you are using a Windows computer, the application icon can be found in the menu
. If you are using a Mac computer, the applications are stored in the “Applications” folder.
Step 2. Click the group
A list of groups is displayed in the left column of the screen. After that, the selected group will be opened in the main panel.
You can also search for groups by name using the search bar
Step 3. Click the group name
It's at the top of the group window.
Step 4. Click Manage administrators
This option is under the “Settings” heading.
If you modify the supergroup, click " Add Administrator ”.
Step 5. Click the name of the new administrator
After that, the corresponding username will be moved to the top of the window. You can choose more than one administrator if you want.
If you are modifying a supergroup, click the administrator's name, and then select the permissions you want to grant to the respective user
Step 6. Click Save
The selected member is now a group administrator.
