Method 1 of 2: Finding Your Own Username
Step 1. Open Telegram app on Android device
The Telegram icon looks like a white paper airplane inside a blue circle. You can find this icon on the menu/page of your phone or tablet app.
Step 2. Touch the three horizontal lines icon
It's in the upper-left corner of the chat list. The menu bar will be displayed on the left side of the screen.
If Telegram immediately displays the chat window, touch the back button to switch to the chat list and load the menu button
Step 3. Touch Settings on the menu
It's next to the gear icon, at the bottom of the menu bar. Your account summary will load on a new page.
Step 4. Look for the Username column under the “Info” heading
This column displays your username, below the phone number at the top of the account summary information.
If you don't have an account username, this column will display the status “ None " You can touch the field and assign a new username for the account.
Method 2 of 2: Finding Out Contact Username
Step 1. Open Telegram app on Android device
The Telegram icon looks like a white paper airplane inside a blue circle. You can find this icon on the menu/page of your phone or tablet app.
Step 2. Touch the white magnifying glass icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the chat list. The page will switch from a chat list to a search page. Blade Search ” will load at the top of the screen.
If Telegram immediately opens the chat window, touch the back button to switch to the chat list and load the magnifying glass icon
Step 3. Enter the contact name
Search for a contact by typing its name in the “ Search Matching search results will be displayed on the screen as you type the name.
Step 4. Touch the desired contact on the list
After that, the chat with the contact in question will load in full screen view.
Alternatively, you can tap a chat entry in the chat list
Step 5. Touch the contact's name or profile photo
The contact's photo and name are displayed at the top of the chat window. Touch their name or photo to open their account summary on a new page.
Step 6. Look for the Username column under the “Info” heading
This column displays the contact's username, below his phone number at the top of the account summary information.
