This article teaches you how to enable a downloaded keyboard language or app to use a different Android keyboard button layout than the current one.
Step
Step 1. Open the Android Settings app
Find and tap the icon
the Apps menu to open Settings.

You can also swipe down on the notification bar from the top of the screen, and tap the icon
on the top right.
Step 2. Scroll down and tap on Languages & input
You'll find this option near the end of the Settings menu.
- In some versions, this option can be named Languages & keyboards or just Languages.
- If you don't have this option, look for it General management in the Settings menu, then tap Language & input.
Step 3. Tap Virtual keyboard
This button will open a list of all currently active keyboards on Android.
If you don't find this option, search Current keyboard or Change keyboard.
Step 4. Tap Manage keyboards
This button will open a list of all available keyboards, and let you enable or disable each one.
On some devices, this button may be labeled Choose keyboards.
Step 5. Slide the button next to the keyboard to
Find the keyboard you want to use in this list, and turn it on.
Step 6. Slide the current toggle switch to
This step will disable the old keyboard. Now you can type messages and notes with the new keyboard layout.
