This wikiHow teaches you how to edit your alarm schedule and set a new alarm ringtone on your Android device.

Step 1. Open the Clock app on the device
Find and tap the time widget on the home screen or the Clock app icon in the apps menu to open it.
Step 2. Touch the Alarms tab
It's in the top-left corner of the menu bar. A list of all saved entries or alarm schedules will be loaded.
Step 3. Touch the entry you want to edit
The setting page of the entry or schedule of the selected alarm will be opened.
Alternatively, you can touch " Add ” and create a new alarm entry or preset.
Step 4. Touch Alarm tone and volume
A list of all sounds or ringtones that can be used will load.
In some versions, this button is labeled “ Ringtones ”.
Step 5. Select the ringtone you want to use
Find the ringtone you want to hear when the alarm goes off, then tap its name on the tones list.
- Some devices allow you to select music as the alarm ringtone. If the feature is available, touch the tab “ Music ” at the top of the screen to view the music available on the device.
- If you want to add your own ringtone, tap the " +" which is green. This will allow you to select a sound file on your device and set it as your alarm ringtone.
Step 6. Touch the icon
It's in the top-left corner of the screen. You will be taken to the alarm settings menu.

On some devices, you need to touch
at the top of the screen before being able to return to the previous page.
Step 7. Touch SAVE at the top right corner of the screen
The new alarm ringtone will be saved afterwards.
