Instant coffee can be a great choice when you need a boost or refreshment, but don't have a coffee maker. Unlike ground coffee, instant coffee grounds are made from dried brewed coffee. Even though you can't make instant coffee grounds yourself at home, instant coffee is still an easy and delicious option for enjoying your caffeine intake! This drink is also more delicious when served cold. You can get creative by adding spices, whip up an evocative latte with whipped cream, or make an iced coffee shake.

Step
Method 1 of 4: Making Regular Instant Coffee
Step 1. Heat the water
To heat water quickly and easily, put the water in the microwave and warm it for 1 minute. You can also heat it on the stove using a saucepan or teapot. Heat over medium-high heat, then remove the water from the stove before it starts to boil.
- For 1 serving, heat 240 ml of water. Use more water if you want to make more servings/portions.
- Use a teapot to make it easier for you to pour hot water into the mug.
Step 2. Add 1-2 tablespoons of instant coffee grounds to the mok
Check the label on the product packaging to see how much you need to add to get the best taste. Most manufacturers recommend 1-2 teaspoons of coffee for 240 ml of water.
Add more coffee if you want a stronger taste, or reduce the amount for a lighter taste
Step 3. Dissolve coffee in cold water with a tablespoon
By adding cold water, the coffee can dissolve more gently. Dissolve the coffee slowly rather than pouring hot water right away to enhance the taste.
Step 4. Pour hot water into the mok
Add water carefully, especially if you are not using a teapot. Don't forget to leave room for milk or powdered cream if you don't like black coffee.
Step 5. Add sugar or spices if desired
For a richer coffee taste, add sugar or spices after dissolving the coffee in hot water. If desired, add a teaspoon of sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon powder, or allspice.
You can also add flavored coffee cream powder. Keep in mind that most flavored coffee cream powders are already sweet so you don't need to add sugar again
Step 6. Add milk or cream powder if you don't like black coffee
Add milk, almond milk (or other non-animal product), cream powder, or flavored cream powder to the coffee. The amount used will depend on how light or strong you want the coffee to be.
You don't need to add milk or cream powder and enjoy the dish right away if you want black instant coffee
Step 7. Stir the coffee and serve
Before enjoying or serving to others, stir the coffee again. Mix until the color is even so the milk and sugar dissolve (if added).
Method 2 of 4: Making Instant Iced Coffee
Step 1. Mix 2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder with 120 ml of hot water
Heat the water in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stir the coffee and hot water until the coffee grounds dissolve.
- Mix the coffee in a glass if you want to enjoy serving it from or in a separate cup. Make sure the cups you are using are microwave safe.
- If you want to pour your coffee over ice in a separate cup, heat the water in a measuring cup or other container with a spout.
Step 2. Add sugar or spices to the coffee solution if desired
If you want to add sugar or spices, add them before adding the ice and cold water or milk. Sugar, cinnamon powder, allspice, and other ingredients dissolve more quickly and evenly in hot water.
You can also add flavored coffee cream powder or syrup instead of sugar and spices
Step 3. Add 120 ml of cold water or milk to the hot coffee solution
For a softer iced coffee, use cold milk instead of water. Stir all ingredients until evenly mixed.
Step 4. Pour the cold coffee solution over the ice
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, and slowly pour the cold coffee solution over the ice.
If you drink coffee straight from the glass that was previously used to mix the ingredients, simply add ice to the glass
Step 5. Immediately serve iced instant coffee
Enjoy iced coffee straight from the glass or prepare a straw. Serve or enjoy a drink before all the ice melts and thins the drink.
Method 3 of 4: Making a Latte with Whipped Cream
Step 1. Mix one tablespoon of instant coffee powder with 60 ml of hot water
Heat the water in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Add instant coffee grounds and stir until the coffee grounds are completely dissolved.
Mix water and coffee in the mug you want to use. The mok must be able to accommodate a liquid volume of at least 250 ml
Step 2. Add sugar or spices if desired
If you want to sweeten or add flavor to your latte, add a teaspoon of sugar, cinnamon powder, pumpkin spice powder, vanilla extract, or flavored coffee syrup. Add the ingredients to the bowl and stir until evenly mixed.
Step 3. Shake 120 ml of milk in a bottle/jar with a lid
Pour the milk into a jar or bottle with a lid that can be used in the microwave. After that, put the lid on the jar and shake the milk vigorously for 30-60 seconds. This process will produce a frothy milk for your classic latte.
Step 4. Heat the milk in the microwave for 30 seconds
Remove the cap from the bottle or jar, then heat the milk. The froth will rise and expand on the top surface of the warm milk.
Step 5. Pour the hot milk into the mok
Use a large spoon to hold in the foam as you pour the hot milk into the coffee solution. Carefully stir the mixture until the color is even.
If you want a darker color, don't add all the steamed milk. Add enough milk until you get the color you want
Step 6. Cover the top of the latte with milk foam or whipped cream
Take the milk foam from the bottle or jar with a spoon and pour it over the latte, or add whipped cream for a richer texture and taste.
Step 7. Garnish the dish with spice powder and immediately serve the drink
Sprinkle a little cinnamon powder, nutmeg, chocolate, or other desired spices over the milk foam or whipped cream. Enjoy or serve immediately while hot and milk is still foamy.
Method 4 of 4: Making Instant Coffee Shake
Step 1. Prepare the blender and connect it to a power source
Remove the blender from storage, make sure the machine is turned off (the switch is in the off position or “off”), then plug the cord into the plug. Double check the availability of the blender lid and make sure the lid can be attached tightly.
Step 2. Add ice, instant coffee grounds, milk, vanilla extract, and sugar in a blender
Add 6 ice cubes, 1 teaspoon of instant coffee powder, 180 ml of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 teaspoons of sugar. If you want, you can also add 2 teaspoons of chocolate syrup.
Step 3. Mix the ingredients on high speed for 2-3 minutes or until the solution appears smooth
Put the lid on the blender jar and start the machine. Hold the lid with your hands while mixing all the ingredients until the ice is completely crushed. Once mixed, the consistency of the mixture will feel soft and thick like a smoothie.
If the consistency of the mixture is too thick, add a little more milk. On the other hand, if it's too runny, add more ice cubes
Step 4. Pour the coffee shake into a tall glass
Turn off the blender and remove the lid, then slowly pour the mixture into the glass. You may need to use a spoon or spatula to scrape the mixture from the sides of the blender glass.
Step 5. Garnish the coffee with chocolate syrup or chocolate chips
Add finishing touches like whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or shaved chocolate chips. Top the coffee with whipped cream, then add a little cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, or caramel syrup on top.
Step 6. Immediately serve the coffee shake
Enjoy or serve the coffee before it melts. Drink coffee straight from the glass or using a large straw. You can also prepare a spoon, especially if you decorate the drink with shaved chocolate or whipped cream.
