This wikiHow teaches you how to recover a deactivated Facebook account. If you accidentally deactivated your Facebook account, you can reactivate it by logging into your account. However, if your account was deactivated by Facebook, you will need to appeal the account refund. Facebook may accept or reject your appeal, depending on the cause/reason for account deactivation. Also, you can't recover a deleted account.

Method 1 of 2: Recover Deactivated Account By Yourself
Step 1. Visit
After that, the main Facebook page will open.
- If you temporarily deactivated your own Facebook account, you can restore it by simply logging into the account, or by using the account to sign in elsewhere. If you previously chose to permanently deactivate your Facebook account, you have 30 days to reactivate the account.
- If your Facebook account has been submitted for deletion for more than 30 days, it has been lost and cannot be recovered. Try creating a new Facebook account.
Step 2. Enter the email address or phone number associated with the account
Type this information into the "Email or Phone" field in the upper-right corner of the page.

Type the password used to log in to your account into the " Password " ("Password") field to the right of the email (or phone number) field.

Step 4. Click the Log In button
It's in the top-right corner of the page. After that, you will be taken to the account if the account is still accessible.
Step 5. Click Cancel Deletion if prompted
If you permanently delete your Facebook account, but it's less than 30 days later, you can still deselect it.
Method 2 of 2: Recover Deactivated Account by Facebook
Step 1. Make sure your Facebook account has been deactivated
Visit the Facebook site https://www.facebook.com then log in with your username and password. If you see a message Account disabled, means that your account has been blocked by Facebook and you can appeal.

Step 3. Enter your email address or phone number
Type in the email address or phone number you use to log into your Facebook account.
You will need to enter an accessible email address or phone number as both will be used by Facebook to contact you

Type the name used on your Facebook account into the " Your full name " field.
This name may be different from your real name (which matches the ID card)
Step 5. Upload a photo of the ID card
You can upload a photo of your SIM card, student card, or passport. To upload it:
- Take a photo of your ID card (front and back), then transfer the photo file to your computer.
- Click the button " Choose Files ” (“Select file”)
- Select the photo you want to upload.
- Click " Open ”.
Step 6. Add appeal details
In the "Additional info" field at the bottom of the page, enter any additional information that you think Facebook should know. Some things that need to be listed include:
- A statement if your real name is different from the Facebook account name.
- Allegation if you feel your account has been hacked by someone.
- Statements regarding visual evidence showing that someone else should be held accountable for violent or abusive acts committed through your Facebook account.
- A statement if you have been abused by someone who is suspected of being the “mastermind” of bad behavior carried out through your account (so that the account is deactivated).
Step 7. Click the Send button
It's in the lower-right corner of the form. The appeal will be sent to Facebook. If they decide to unblock them, they will send you a message to let you know that your account is now accessible again.
Tips
- If you deactivate your Facebook account and don't set a recovery/reactivation date, the account will technically remain deactivated for an indefinite period of time until you log into the account yourself.
- If you have trouble accessing your account because you can't remember the password, you can reset your account password.
