Method 1 of 2: Copy and Paste Excel Data into a PowerPoint Presentation
Step 1. Open the Excel file you want to use
Run a file browsing program and open the folder where the file is stored.
Step 2. Click the box in the upper left corner to select the data
Step 3. Click Edit and select Copy to copy data.
Step 4. Open Microsoft PowerPoint
You can hide the Excel file window or close the program and then open PowerPoint.
Step 5. Click File in the upper left corner of the window
A drop-down list with additional options for the PowerPoint file will load.
Step 6. Click New
You can also open an existing presentation file.
Step 7. Click the slide page you want to use
You can also format a page to display data by selecting a page template.
Step 8. Right-click the page and select Paste
The Excel data will be pasted onto the selected page.
Step 9. Click the clipboard icon in the bottom right corner
The presentation options for the page will be changed.
Step 10. Select the presentation mode from the drop-down menu
Save the work once you are satisfied with the changes made.
Method 2 of 2: Inserting an Excel Object into a PowerPoint Presentation
Step 1. Open the PowerPoint file
Go to the directory where the file is stored in the file browsing window.
Step 2. Click Insert on the menu bar
Step 3. Select Objects
Step 4. Select Create from file
Step 5. Locate the Excel file
After creating the dialog window, locate the Excel file that you want to add to the PowerPoint slide page.
Step 6. Select the file and click Insert
The file will be inserted into the selected page.
Step 7. Resize and adjust the position of the spreadsheet snippet as desired
You can drag the corners of the snippet to zoom in or out, or click and drag the snippet to move it. When the spreadsheet is double-clicked, the original spreadsheet opens in Excel.
