Urdu is Pakistan's national language, spoken by more than 104 million people in the country and around the world. Method 1 of 2: Expressing Love to Someone
Step 1. Use the verb mahabbat to express praise
In Urdu, there are different stages of love. Unlike Indonesian, there are a number of different words that have the meaning of "love". In Indonesian, the closest explanation for the verb mahabbat is when someone says "I love you." It shows devotion and passion towards the person.
- If you are a man, you can say mein ap se muhabat karta huun.
- If you are a woman, you can say mein ap se muhabat karti huun.
Tip:
Mahabbat is also used to express love outside of a romantic relationship, such as love for a friend or family member. But this verb is only used to express love to another person-not an animal or an inanimate object.
Step 2. Tell your loved one how much he or she means to you
Try saying tum mer liye intehai aihem ho, which means "you mean a lot to me." You can also say aap ke liye meri muhabbat ko alfaaz byan nahin kar sakte, which means "my love for you cannot be expressed in words."
Also try hamein aik Saath hona chahiye tha, which means "we are meant to be together."
Step 3. Try Urdu phrases to express your commitment and devotion
In a warm atmosphere, say jab mei aap ki level daikhta hun tou, mei apni ankhon ky samne apni baqi zindagi daikhta hun. This expression means "when I look at you, I see the rest of my life in front of me." This can let your partner know that you are committed to him forever.
If you two have dated other people before meeting each other, you can also try saying mei aap ki pehli date, bosa, ya mahabat nahin ho sakta, lekin mei aap ki akhri ban na chahta hun. This expression means "I may not be your first love, your first kiss, or your first love, but I want to be your last."
Method 2 of 2: Showing Romantic Interest
Step 1. Tell a friend that you are romantically attracted to him
You may not be ready to say "I love you," but you want to try starting a romantic relationship. Try saying mein tum ko aik dost se barh kar samajhta huun, which means "I consider you more than a friend."
You can also say mein tumhara dewana huun, which means "I have a crush on you."
Step 2. Try the verb pyaar if you are infatuated with someone
Although the word pyaar basically means "love" in Indonesian, it denotes an early stage in being infatuated with someone. The word pyaar can be used after 2 or 3 dates. It is usually considered too soon for someone to say "I love you" in Indonesian, but in Urdu, this is a common and understandable statement.
- If you are a man, say mein tumse pyar karta huun.
- If you are a woman, you can say mein tumse pyar karti huun.
Tip:
The verb pyaar can also be used when having a crush on someone you may never meet, such as a movie star or a professional athlete.
Step 3. Admire your loved one's physical appearance in Urdu
If your partner speaks Urdu, compliments in his mother tongue will mean much more to him. Try saying aap khuubsuurat lag rahi hain, which means "you look beautiful."
- Aap bohat khubsurat ho means "you are very beautiful."
- Tum bohat khuubsuurat ho means "you are very handsome."
Variation:
The expression aap ki muskurahat khubsurat he means "your smile looks beautiful" or "you have a beautiful smile." You can also try saying aap ki pasand achii hai, which means "you have good taste."
Step 4. Tell your partner that you appreciate the things they do
If you love someone, you will love the things they do, as well as how they look. You can say aap ka batin app ke zahir se bhi ziadah khubsurat he, which means "your personality is even more beautiful than your appearance."
- If your loved one makes you laugh, you can say aap ki mazah ki hiss bohat achchii he, which means "you have a great sense of humor."
- When your loved one cooks a delicious meal, you can say mujhe aap to pakwaan pasand hain, which means "I love your cooking."
Step 5. Thank your partner for being in your life
If you are looking for a poetic way to express your love and gratitude for your partner, just say hamiisha tufan ky baad meri qous o qazah hone ky liye aap ka shukriya. This sentence means "thank you for always being a rainbow to me after the storm."
