Method 1 of 2: Using iPad
Step 1. Touch and hold the app icon until all the icons on the screen start to jiggle
Step 2. Touch the “ⓧ” button which is on the top left corner of the app icon that you want to remove
Some of Apple's built-in apps, such as the App Store, Settings, Contacts, and Safari, cannot be uninstalled and will not display the “ⓧ” icon
Step 3. Touch the Delete button to confirm the deletion of the app
Touch " Cancel ” if you change your mind or make a mistake.
Step 4. Touch the “Home” button to return the home screen to normal display
After that, the selected app will be removed from the iPad.
Method 2 of 2: Using iTunes
Step 1. Connect iPad to computer
Using the cable that came with your device purchase, connect one end of the USB cable to your computer and the other end of the cable to the iPad's charging port.
Step 2. Open iTunes on the computer
The program is marked by a circle icon with colorful musical notes.
Step 3. Click the iPad icon
It's in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window.
Step 4. Click Apps
It's in the left pane of the iTunes window, under the "Settings" section.
Step 5. Locate the app you want to remove
The apps stored on the device are displayed in the middle pane of the window, under the " Apps " section.
You may need to scroll through the screen to find the app you're looking for
Step 6. Click Remove
This button appears next to each app installed on the iPad.
- The button label will change to “ Will Remove ” after clicking.
- Repeat these steps for each app you want to remove from iPad.
Step 7. Click the Apply button
It's in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window. After the sync process is complete, the selected apps will be deleted from the iPad.
