You can import images into Photoshop, both on a computer and on a mobile device. While you can import an unlimited number of images on the computer version of Photoshop, you'll need to use an application other than Photoshop Express to work with more than one image. You need to download Adobe Photoshop Mix from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). This wikiHow teaches you how to import images into Photoshop on computers and mobile devices.

Method 1 of 2: Using Photoshop on a Computer
Step 1. Open Photoshop on your PC or Mac computer
This application is displayed in the “ All Apps ” in the Windows “Start” menu, or the “Applications” folder on MacOS. Use this method if you want to import a single image into a Photoshop project.
Step 2. Open the file you want to work with
Click the menu " File ", choose " Open ”, and double-click the desired file.
To create a new file, press the shortcut Ctrl+N (Windows) or Cmd+N (Mac), name the file, and click “ OK ”.
Step 3. Click the “New Layer” icon
It's in the lower-right corner of the " Layers " panel. The icon looks like a square sheet of paper with the corners folded up. A new layer will be created afterwards.
Step 4. Click the File menu
It's in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 5. Click Place…
It's in the middle of the menu. A computer file browsing window will open after that.
This option is labeled as “ Place Embedded ” on some versions of Photoshop.
Step 6. Select the images you want to import and click Place
Step 7. Click the tick icon
It's at the top of the screen. The image is now placed on a new layer.
Method 2 of 2: Using Photoshop Mix on a Phone or Tablet
Step 1. Open Adobe Photoshop Mix
This app icon looks like two circles on top of each other. You can find it on your home screen or app drawer, or by searching for it.
- If you don't have Adobe Photoshop Mix, you can get it for free from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
- The Photoshop Express application only supports editing one image (per session), and you can do this by tapping the “ Open "from the menu" File " However, Photoshop Mix requires you to subscribe to the Adobe Suite service in order to use it. However, you can use the app with a 7-day free trial.
Step 2. Create or log in to an account if prompted
Step 3. Touch the blue circle icon with a plus sign (“+”)
You can see this icon in the lower right corner of the screen. This button is the button to create a new project.
Step 4. Touch Device
If you already have the desired image on your phone, it will take you to the device's pictures folder. You can touch another save option/location.
Step 5. Touch the image
You can edit the image further using the tools shown above and below the image.
Step 6. Touch the little white circle icon with a plus sign (“+”)
This icon is to the right of the image. Once touched, you will be asked to open another image.
Step 7. Touch Device
If the desired image is already saved on your phone, you will be taken to the device's image storage folder. If the images are stored in other directories, touch the folders to search for them.
Step 8. Touch the image
Now, the second image is on the next layer in the Mix window. You may need to reset the canvas size.
You can further edit the image using all the tools shown above and below the image
Step 9. Touch the images to switch from one image/layer to another
