Step
Method 1 of 3: Pokémon GO
Step 1. Visit the App Store
Pokémon GO is available for Android and iPhone. On the Home screen on your phone, swipe right on the screen and then type "App Store" (or "Play Store", if you're using Android) in the search box that appears. Open the App Store by tapping the App Store icon.
Step 2. Look for the Pokémon GO app
Tap the button Search at the bottom of the screen then type "Pokemon GO" in the search box. Tap the button Search to see the list of results that appear.
Step 3. Download the Pokemon GO app
Look for the Pokemon GO app in the list of results you get. Tap the button GET in the top right corner of the search results bar. You may be asked to enter your Apple ID password. Once you do that, the app will start downloading.
Step 4. Run Pokemon GO
Tap the Home screen button and then tap your new Pokémon GO icon.
If you don't see this app on the Home screen, swipe left until you see the Spotlight search bar where you can type "Pokémon GO," then tap the app that appears
Step 5. Allow Pokémon GO to access your location
Your location must be accessible to the app in order for you to fully use the game's features.
Step 6. Enter your date of birth
When you're done, tap Submit.
Step 7. Sign up for a Pokémon GO account
This can be done in two ways:
- Sign up with Gmail. If you have a Gmail account, choose the option to link your account to the game so you can share data between the two accounts. At this point, signing up with Gmail looks more stable than using Pokemon Trainer Club.
- Sign up for the Pokemon Trainer Club. This is a feature on Pokémon.com that aims to create a community of dedicated Pokémon players who are willing to communicate, battle, and exchange Pokémon with other players. This is a good option if you are interested in joining the community.
Step 8. Design an avatar for your trainer
Once you accept the terms and conditions, as well as an introduction from Professor Willow, two avatar images will appear.
- Tap the presentation you like. Then a screen will appear where you can edit different physical features for your avatar.
- Edit your features by tapping on each of the different sections and using the arrows to switch to different views.
- Tap the checkmark in the lower-right corner of the screen when you're done designing your avatar. You are ready to venture out!
Method 2 of 3: Without Jailbreak
Step 1. Don't upgrade to iOS 8.1
Apple iOS 8.1 update will break the GBA4iOS emulator app. After updating, you will no longer be able to install or use the application. Don't update your device to iOS 8.1 if you still want to use the GBA4iOS emulator.
If you've updated your device to 8.1, you'll need to jailbreak your iPhone in order to install the GBA4iOS emulator
Step 2. Open Settings app on iPhone
You must set the date on your iPhone to install the Game Boy Advance emulator. You should always change the date every time you restart your iPhone.
This emulator can be used to play Pokemon Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, LeafGreen, FireRed, or Originals
Step 3. Tap on “General“
Step 4. Tap on “Date & Time“

You must reset the date to the previous day each time you reset your iPhone
Method 3 of 3: By Jailbreak
Step 1. Jailbreak your iPhone
This method may vary depending on the device you're using, but you can use a trusted jailbreak that's available for all versions of iOS.
- Read this guide if you want detailed instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone.
- You can run apps that aren't in the Apple App Store by jailbreaking them. This allows you to install GBA4iOS without having to set the date on your device's system.
- Jailbreaking can be risky, and can void your device's warranty. You can lose access to your device if the jailbreak process has problems.
Step 2. Run Cydia on the jailbroken iPhone
It's a jailbreak package manager, which allows you to install apps and tweak apps that aren't allowed on the Apple App Store.
Step 3. Look for "GBA4iOS"
Currently, GBA4iOS is included in the Cydia repository so you can download it directly from the Cydia application. Do a search and then tap on GBA4iOS in the search results that appear.
You must use the NDS4iOS emulator if you want to play the Nintendo DS version of Pokémon (such as Diamond, Platinum, Pearl, HG SS, Black, White, W2, and B2). This emulator can be installed using the same method

- Downloading ROM files for games that you don't own is illegal.
