Shandy is the most perfect drink for summer. Its half-beer, half-lemonade composition is widely recognized worldwide as a popular elixir of true pleasure. The good news is that shandy is very easy to make. It's wasted enough time, let's make shandy !
Ingredients
- 150 ml light beer (light beer)
- 150 ml lemonade or "lemon" soda
- Ice (optional)
Step
Step 1. Choose and pour your beer
As long as you have a lighter beer, you can't fail. Here are a few types of beer that you can use as a base for shandy:
- Wheat beer. Smooth and creamy, but slightly heavier, it goes well with lemons.
- Lager. Crunchy and refreshing, this beer produces a slightly lighter shandy.
- Pilsner. A slightly more distinctive taste than the usual lager beer, this beer produces a more complex shandy.
Step 2. Select and pour your lemonade
Whether you opt for sparkling lemonade, regular lemonade, or lemon soda (like Sprite or Squirt), your shandy is pretty much guaranteed to be enjoyable. A little advice:
- If you can, choose lemonade made entirely natural. With a good beer, natural lemonade tastes even more amazing. Of course, you can make pretty good shandy with lemonade made from concentrate, but the sensation will not be the same as that provided with lemonade made from natural ingredients.
- If you're using a soda like Sprite, pour in less than the specified amount (~150 ml). Lemon soda is quite sweet; shandy made with lemon soda ends up being a little sweet for most people, overpowering the taste of the beer. You can always add more soda at the end, after tasting it.
Step 3. Add ice to the shandy (optional)
If you don't mind your beer getting a little runny, adding ice keeps the shandy cold while you drink it.
Step 4. Stir, do not shake, until all ingredients are completely mixed
Shaking will cause the foam in the beer to come out. Stir gently until your beer and lemonade come together beautifully.
