Do you want to fold notepads in a concise and unique way? Folding secret message papers is an easy and fun way to spend time in class. Send your message paper to friends to convey a secret message and invite admiration from your friends.
Step
Step 1. Use Letter size paper (21 cm x 28 cm)
You can also use A4 paper, but it must be cut first.
Step 2. Fold the paper so that the wide sides of the paper are evenly divided
Make sure the side you want to write the message on is folded in so you can see it.
Step 3. Fold your paper back to divide the two sides equally in width
Now, you have a long, thin sheet of paper.
Step 4. Fold both ends of the paper diagonally so that it becomes a triangle
Make sure the two edges of the triangle on the paper are parallel, and not like a trapezoid (a flat shape that has two parallel sides and two non-parallel sides). Your paper should be a parallelogram (two pairs of two parallel sides).
Step 5. Fold each triangle diagonally back so that it forms a thin parallelogram at each end
Make sure you fold it so that the edge of the triangle closest to the center of the rectangle rises up and aligns with the long side of the rectangle. If you apply this crease to both triangles, the paper will be shaped like an "S" rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.
If you fold the triangle inward, the paper will form a rectangle. This form is not correct
Step 6. Fold the edges of the parallelogram to the center so that they are facing each other straight
Now you have two triangles that form a square in the middle, with one equal-sized triangle on each side.
Step 7. Take the triangle that is on the top side of the square, and fold the edges under one of the triangles in the square
Step 8. Take the triangle on the bottom side of the square, and tuck it between the edges of the other triangles in the square
Step 9. Enjoy your handiwork
Step 10. Done
Tips
- It's a good idea to write a message in a secret code in case the teacher finds out and your secret message is read. The teacher will not understand what your message is about.
- You can slip small strips of paper in the “pockets” on each side of the square. These pockets can serve as a distraction and help hide your true secret messages.
- Tell your friends how to decode your message before writing the message.
- Don't write down important secrets on paper. Even if it is folded, there is still the possibility that the message will be read by someone else.
- If the teacher starts to see you, tuck a note in the pencil case and pretend to grab a pen or pencil so she doesn't suspect anything.
- Be patient. Not everything can be done well on the first try.
- If you are using A4 paper, (210 mm x 297 mm) reduce the size to 210 mm x 271.76 mm to keep the proportions of the paper so that it can be folded.
- Be careful if you fold the paper in class! If the teacher finds out, you could get in trouble!
- If you're sending it at school, place it on the floor and slide it with your feet.
- Make sure you tell your friends to open the message secretly and don't let the teacher find out.
- Send paper when you go to the bathroom and drop it on the person's desk as you go through
- Make sure no one sees you pass the message paper.
Warning
- Make sure the recipient knows how to open the paper and read the secret code. Otherwise, he will be confused.
- Write a message on the top half of the paper. Some of the area at the bottom is still visible after the square is folded.
- You must always be patient and not frustrated. Don't forget to write the message in the secret code.
- Be careful when passing paper messages in class. If caught, your teacher may get angry and punish you.
- This guide is designed for 21 cm x 28 cm Letter paper commonly used in the US. If you are using A4 paper, shorten the paper by 3 cm. If you don't cut it, in step 5 you will get a rectangle instead of a square. Fold a small concertina in the middle to make a square shape.
