This wikiHow teaches you how to use Reddit's built-in RemindMeBot to remind you of threads you need to read or respond to later.

Step 1. Visit
You will be taken to the main Reddit page.
Sign in to your account at this stage if you haven't already
Step 2. Click the title of the thread you want to add a reminder to
The thread content will be displayed.
To use RemindMeBot, you must select an active thread (not an archived thread)
Step 3. Scroll down and click on the comment box
This column is at the bottom of the thread.
Step 4. Type in RemindMe
Tomorrow “reply to this thread”.
The syntax for RemindMeBot is RemindME! [TIME] “[MESSAGE]”. In this example, RemindMeBot is instructed to send you a “reply to this thread” message tomorrow. The message will also contain a link to the thread in question. This is just one example of using RemindMeBot.
- There are various inputs other than tomorrow (“Tomorrow”) to set the reminder time. For example, you could enter an entry such as “ One Year " (one year), " August 25, 2018 " (in month-date, year format) " at 4pm ” (in am/pm hour format) “ EOY ” (end of year) 10 minutes " (10 minutes), " 2 hours after noon ” (two hours after noon), etc.
- You can also use RemindMeBot to remind yourself of certain dates, like the birthdays of certain Reddit threads. The bot can also be used on posts to remind you of certain Reddit users' birthdays.
- Don't forget to enclose the message in quotes ".
Step 5. Click Save
This button is below the comment field. Comments will be added to the thread. After that, RemindMeBot will be prompted to create an automatic message.
- After a few moments, RemindMeBot will respond to your post to confirm the date and time of the reminder.
- If you want to delete the “ReminMe!” from the thread, click “ delete this message to hide from others ” at the bottom of the confirmation message.
Step 6. Check the message after the set time period
If you set a reminder for tomorrow, click the envelope icon in the top-right corner of the Reddit page within 24 hours of the post being made. You'll see a message from RemindMeBot containing a link to the thread, as well as a reminder message.
Step 7. Click the link on the message to access the thread
Now, you can leave the comment you wanted to post in the first place.
