This wikiHow teaches you how to resize the video window on a Skype video call on a computer.

Method 1 of 2: Resizing Video
Step 1. Open Skype on the computer
If you are using a Windows computer, you can find this program in the Windows/"Start" menu. On Mac computers, application icons are stored in the “Applications” folder.
Step 2. Click Contacts
This option is in the left column. All Skype contacts will be displayed after that.
Step 3. Click the contact you want to call
A chat window will open after that.
Step 4. Click the video call icon
This video camera icon is in the chat window. After the contact accepts the call, their video will be displayed in large size in the center of the screen, while your own video will be displayed in small size in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Click your video
The handle image will be displayed in the top left corner of the video preview.
Step 6. Drag the drag to adjust the video size
The video preview window will enlarge when you drag the holder outwards. To reduce the size of the preview window, drag the holder back inwards until it is the size you want.
- You can resize the video, whether it's in full screen mode or not.
- If you want to move your own video to another area, simply click and drag the video to the desired area.
Step 7. Click the incoming video
This video is a video of your interlocutor. As before, a small drag icon will appear in one corner of the video.
Step 8. Drag the drag to adjust the video size
Like when you set the video size yourself, drag the puller until the video of the other person is displayed as desired. However, keep in mind that the video quality may decrease if you resize it too large.
Method 2 of 2: Using Full Screen Mode
Step 1. Open Skype on the computer
If you are using a Windows computer, you can find this program in the Windows/"Start" menu. On Mac computers, application icons are stored in the “Applications” folder.
Step 2. Click Contacts
This option is in the left column. All Skype contacts will be displayed after that.
Step 3. Click the contact you want to call
A chat window will open after that.
Step 4. Click the video call icon
This video camera icon is in the chat window. After the contact accepts the call, their video will appear in large size in the center of the screen, while your own video will appear in small size in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Click
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 6. Click Full Screen
The video call will be displayed in full screen mode.
- If you don't see the option, look for a square icon with two arrows facing opposite directions. It's at the top or bottom of the video call window. Once clicked, the size of the video window will be enlarged.
- You may also be able to double-click the video to enter full screen mode.
Step 7. Press Esc (Windows) or double click the video (MacOS) to exit full screen mode
The Skype video call window will be restored to its original size.
