Step
Step 1. Make sure you are eligible for carrier unlock iPhone Sprint based on the following criteria:
- You have complied with the Service Agreement, Lease Agreement, or Installment Agreement, and have fully paid all prepaid fees or lease purchase options.
- Your Sprint account is in good shape.
- Your iPhone has not been reported lost or stolen, engaged in fraudulent activity, or marked ineligible for carrier unlock.
- Your iPhone is currently on the Sprint network and has been active for at least 90 days (requirement for international travel).
- You have not unlocked a carrier on a Sprint phone in the last 12 months (requirement for international travel).
Step 2. Find the exact launch date of your iPhone
Sprint iPhone users who purchased iPhones before February 2015 should contact Sprint Customer Service to determine if they are eligible for carrier unlock.
Step 3. Call Sprint Customer Service at 1-844-665-6327 to request a carrier unlock for domestic use with another mobile carrier SIM card
- Alternatively, call Sprint Worldwide Customer Service at 1-888-226-7212 if you wish to unlock the carrier for international travel, or call Sprint Prepaid Customer Service at 855-639-4644 if you are using Sprint's prepaid service.
- If your phone was launched after February 2015, Sprint will automatically unlock your device carrier once it's deemed eligible and will inform you of this status.
Step 4. Provide the information needed by the Sprint Customer Service Officer to unlock your carrier
In most cases, you will be asked to provide your iPhone's unique Sprint account information and IMEI number.
Step 5. Wait for Sprint to send you instructions to unlock your carrier iPhone
This process will take a few days to a few weeks depending on how quickly Sprint works with Apple to provide unique carrier unlock instructions for your device.
Step 6. Follow the instructions provided by email from Sprint to unlock your iPhone carrier
Once your iPhone carrier lock is unlocked, you can use a carrier SIM card other than Sprint on your device.
