This wikiHow teaches you how to report a YouTube channel or user for violations of YouTube's terms of use. Since you can't report a channel through the YouTube mobile app or browser, you'll need to use a computer to do so.
Step
Step 1. Visit https://www.youtube.com via a web browser
The YouTube dashboard will be displayed if you are already signed in to your account. If not, click the SIGN IN ”, then enter your account email address and password if prompted.
Step 2. Find the channel that needs to be reported
Type a channel name into the search bar at the top of the page, then press Enter or Return.
Step 3. Click the appropriate channel
A channel is an option that has a SUBSCRIBE or SUBSCRIBED button at the far right of the page.
If you don't know the channel name, look for the video uploaded by the channel, click the video, and click the channel name below the video
Step 4. Click the ABOUT tab
This tab is at the top of the channel page.
Step 5. Click the flag icon
This icon is below the “Stats” heading, on the right side of the page. The menu will expand afterwards.
Step 6. Click Report user
This option is in the drop-down menu. A pop-up window will appear after that.
Step 7. Select the reason for reporting the channel
Determine the reason that best matches the YouTube rules that the channel is violating.
Step 8. Click REPORT
It's at the bottom of the window.
If you choose " PRIVACY " or " NONE OF THESE ARE YOUR ISSUE ”, you will be directed to a page that displays the applicable policies. To report a channel, you need to select another option.
Step 9. Fill in the form
Through this form, you can add details of the reason for reporting the channel. The available options will differ depending on the reason selected. Once the form is filled in, the channel URL will be displayed at the bottom of the page with a “Continue” button.
Step 10. Click Continue to complete the report
Once the report is filled out, a YouTube staff member will review the channel. If the problem proves to be serious and/or the channel owner frequently violates applicable regulations, YouTube will remove the channel.
