MAC (Multimedia Access Control) address is a set of codes embedded in electronic devices. This address is used to identify the device that is connected to the network. MAC filters are used to allow or deny access requests from specific MAC addresses. This feature is useful for increasing network security. However, if you want to make your network accessible to the public or guests, or frequently add and remove devices from the network, you should consider disabling MAC Filtering.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Wireless Router (for Windows)

Step 1. Open Command Prompt
You can access it on the Start menu or press Win+R and type cmd.

Step 2. Type
ipconfig and press the button Enter.

Step 3. Locate the router (router)
Some connections may appear in the Command Prompt window and you may have to scroll up to find the router.

Step 4. Search for text
Default Gateway on the Command Prompt.
The text displays the router's MAC address. Write down the address.

Step 5. Open a browser
You can access the router settings page using any browser as long as the computer is connected to a network.

Step 6. Enter the address
Default Gateway into the URL field (address bar or field where you can write website address) in your browser.

Step 7. Log in to the administration account
To access the router settings using an administrative account, you must enter a username and password. Read your router's manual or search the internet for your router model to find information about its username and password.
- If you can't find your router's username and password, you can reset your router by pressing and holding the Reset button on the back of your router for 30 seconds. After the router has restarted, you can log into the administration account using the default username and password written in the router manual.
- Most routers use the word " admin " as the default username and the word " admin ", " password ", or an empty field as the default password.

Step 8. Go to the “Advanced” section and look for the “MAC Filtering”, “Access Control”, or other similar options
Basically the location and name of " MAC Filtering " on each router is different. Therefore, you may have a hard time finding it. In general, you can find the "MAC Filtering" or "Access Control" settings page in the "Advanced" section. However, this page can also be found in the " Security " or " Wireless Settings " section.
Not all routers use MAC Filtering to review the MAC address the router is connected to. Some routers restrict MAC address access based on the static IP address assigned to each device

Step 9. Disable MAC Filtering
The MAC Filtering name and location varies depending on the router model. However, usually you can select the "Disable" option to disable MAC Filtering.
The options may take the form of checkboxes, buttons, or options

Step 10. Save changes
Click the " Apply " or " Save " button to save the changes to the router settings. After that, the router will apply the changes that have been made. This may take a while.
When setting up the router over a wireless network, you may be logged out of the router settings page when the settings are saved
Method 2 of 3: Wireless Router (for OS X)

Step 1. Click the Apple menu and select the System Preferences option

Step 2. Click the Network option

Step 3. Select the active network adapter in the list on the left of the screen
